Re: if stern retires....
Wouldn't it just be Stew Jackson? I was under the impression that he was in the same position that Stern was when he took over.
I don't get the hate for Stern. He has done so much for the NBA financially, made sure there was something to salvage from the lockout instead of having a complete season go down the gurgle, unlike Hockey which has struggles ever since.
Sure there are things that could have been done different, but you're kidding yourself if you have never done anything wrong.

BP has done some wonderful things, too. Go ahead and set up a parade for them.

No. Jerry doesn't do background checks before major transactions.

Stern will get a lot of contemptment in Phoenix. We will always believe that we are a Robert Horry hip check and a mandatated suspention away from a banner.
Furthermore, Stern did a lot for the NBA such as having players like Magic Johnson and Larry Bird from 84-. Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James. He rode that to the bank. During his tenure though the NBA had gone through a major remodel into a thug league spear headed during the A.I. years, and lost major money in many cities. Relocated teams six San Diego, Kansas City, Vancouver, Charlotte, New Orleans, Seattle, with romours of Sacramento and Indiana on the way.
It is time for David Stern to walk off into the sunset and allow the league a chance to move on.

You don't get the hate for Stern? The biggest snake oil salesman ever? The guy who turned the league into superstar driven garbage? The guy who turns and continues to) a blind eye to the VERY blatant officiating and reffing problem? The guy who's more obsessed with making the game global before securing it in the main market? Sleaziest a-hole ever.

I would love for Stern to retire so that the people who blame all their team's woes on him would have to finally see that that was not the case. And hopefully they would stop whining at that point, but probably not.

A) What the **** does "real talk" mean?
B) Who is "Derick" Fisher?
C) I'm assuming you meant Derek, in which case, **** no. The guy who systematically destroys the game of basketball because of his flopping and bitchmadeness as the head honcho? The problems would NEVER get fixed.

A) Real Talk= all jokes aside
B) Derek Fisher
C) obviously ur butt hurt about the WCF, but if you look what he has done as the president of the Player Association, his off court contribution, and his classiness he is a great fit. And why not a 4 (soon to be 5 time) relevant champion.
I swear some of yall need anger management; I guess this is it, cause 90% of the people here probably wouldnt talk this crazy to people in real life, so you do it behind a computer screen. SMH
