That's just me though. I'm not your average porn poster.

I feel the same.....if Tor wants us to take Jose they should take back Sasha/Luke

IF WE COULD TRADE Sasha, I wouldn't mind Tony Allen, @ $2.5mil, he makes half of what Sasha does,,,

MY LAKERS OFFSEASON PLANS....

after this title, the lakers need to make a few changes to threepeat. so here's my lakers offseason for 2010/2011

first move - first things first. get rid of ODOM. when he's good, he's good, but he's anything but consistent.
la out: odom
la in: redick, barnes

orl out: redick, barnes
in: odom

odom would be the perfect 4 to howards 5. having a straight up jumpshooter in lewis isnt working (he'll play the 3) and odom is great at getting the ball inside. he also can play the point, and open things up for the shooters. For the lakers, they get redick, who i see as a 1/2 combo guard and a perfect triangle fit. he plays great d, and can certainly hit the three. great great guard playing next to kobe. as for barnes....he would be a great 6th, 7th man, coming off the bench for ron, and still giving la that gritty defense. odom makes around 8 mill next season, once redick and barnes are resigned by orlando, they will make somewhere around that, combined, probably less, regardless, this trade can happen...

second move - let farmar go, let shannon go, let mbenga go. love these guys, as a fan, but they're not in my future plans.

third move - sign jermaine o'neal to the midlevel exception (3 year deal, if they can do so). this guy, on a winning team, can be a great asset. better than that, he can play the 4 or the 5. so when bynum goes to the bench, gasol doesn't have to automatically move to the 5. oneal can play the 5. oneal can also play the 4 when he's on the court with bynum. all we need out of j.o is good d, some shot blocking, and maybe a consistent jumper here and there.

fourth move - resign josh powell to a 1 year deal. resign fisher to a two year deal

pg - fisher/redick (redick will eventually start)/vujacic
sg - kobe/redick/vujacic
sf - artest/barnes/walton
pf- gasol/o'neal/
c- bynum/o'neal/powell

thoughts?

^^^Your plan sucks horribly.....Odom>>>>>>>>>>Reddick/Barnes even when Odom is inconsistent. MLE to another injury prone C? Great so when Bynum goes out with his annual extended injuries Oneal will follow shortly and now we have only Pau/Powell, are you sure you're even a laker fan? Odom for 2 role players

Quick question for you guys. Is it possible for a restricted free agent to be traded before free agency begins? I think if I remember correctly this happend a few years back with another trade.

What type of big would the Lakers be looking for Bynum? I would do a Kaman for Bynum swap as a Clipper fan, even with the knee problems.

JON should never ever be a Laker. That curse was luckily avoided 3 summers ago, why welcome it now?

As for the RFA question, no. He'd have to be extended or q.o'd now to be traded.

why? its a lateral move for both teams, with exception of clips I guess since you guys would be taking risk with injury but reward would be higher.

The Lakers would probably be looking for a banger big (defender, doesn't need to score at all as far as I am concerned) and a solid 3 point shooter.

For Bynum- something around a solid DnR center and PG upgrade ie Noah, Hinrich.

Even though I've trade him fifty times on the T&T board, he's not going anywhere in reality. That's why I like realgm, its all fantasy fiction and entertainment.

I would LOVE that deal, and I can't believe that I forgot about the Bulls.

True. Jim Buss would never approve of any trades involving Bynum.

Noah is like Pau Light ;). I love the Hinrich. He gets his hair cut the same place Nash does. It's called the Rusty Spoon. They literally use a rusty spoon as the cutting tool.

Redick at the point? He can't play point. I can see Redick here, but it wouldn't be at the point it would be to spell Kobe with some quick jumpers..

Fisher stays.

I hate to say it but do we keep Sasha on a lesser salary? He knows the system, he's not afraid, and he's willing to play defense.

Sasha would be the one guy I think we may keep of the bench guys. Maybe Benga, but Powell has really stunk it up this year. I know he doesn't get minutes, but dude isn't doing anything but clanking 20 footers off the rim everytime he comes in, like he's a shooting guard.

sasha is still under contract next yr.

and get rid of powell, he sucks. a big shooting guard is the perfect name for him.

If Sasha could give us what he gave us in game 6 every game then there would be no reason to move hi. I have a feeling he might be big for us next season under his contract year.

Walton + Sasha 1 or 2 1st rounder for Przbilla, Rudy Fernandez & Patty Mills

or Sasha play PG next season.

The NBA is going to be much different next year imo. I don't think Lebron goes back to the Cavs, the Celtics come back as strong or the Spurs will be anything to worry about.

The Nuggets had our number all season, and they might get back on their feet.

Oklahoma could potentially land a big time FA. Couple that with progress of their young and dynamic team, they could be a potential 96 Supersonics type of team with the possibility of them going for 60 wins.

Portland might be healthy. They won 50 games hobbling, imagine what they can do with a full lineup and LENGTH THAT MATCHES US IN CAMBY AND PRYZBILLA and potentially ODEN.

The Celtics had a surge that, I believe peaked in this years playoffs. They were lacklustre all season long and I think they will be scary for stretches next season, but nothing that compares to this year.

I don't think Spurs recover from this years destruction by the Suns. Speaking of the latter, one year older one year slower.

Jazz will be solid, but no real threat.

The Magic are our biggest threat. If Dwight can expand his offensive repertoire, and he did show signs this post season, the Magic will be devastating. If Vince can find his form of the last 10 years, Dwight and Vince will pick and roll most teams all night. The Magic are deep and they can trade for other talent. I see them going for broke next season or falling apart and dispanding.

We need two address two problems we had ALL season and in the playoffs.

Point guard defense and
Lack of perimiter shooting

That is our greatest weakness. I think we can get Mike Miller for the MLE. He is actually quite the versatile swing man, in the Brent Barry mold. Can do alot of little things on the court, hit the shot and go to the rack and give you 10, 5 and 5 with outstanding outside shooting.

Sasha could be very valuable. Either as an expiring, or a pesky, energetic player who will bring effort on defense.

We will need to trade for a good defensive guard. There aren't any available in free agency for <the MLe. Hinrich is possible, but unlikely. Maybe Chris Duhon?

Andrew Bynum really needs to be at 100% next season. He has been at or below 60% for the last two finals and he seriously needs to work on his conditioning > his skillset this summer.

The triangle (Kobe, Pau and Bynum) need to train together everyday so each man can become comfortable with each other's movements and positions on the court.

Lamar needs to work on his outside shot.

Ron needs to do everything he's been doing. Improving on his attitude and mental health. He could lose 20ibs too (very unlikely)

Pau and Kobe need to rest.

We need to find heroes for next season. Kobe and Pau's minutes are far too heavy for a team as talented as ours. We should be able to hold our own with AB, LO and Ron for at least 20mpg.

We have alot to do if we're going to threepeat but I think we can do it because there will be alot of transition this offseason, alot of changing of the guard but the Lakers will remain in tact, and not too much older.
