Someone, Please Buy The Suns

Post#1 » by BurningHeart » Wed Jun 16, 2010 8:48 am

I created a FB page to support the cause. I've had enough, and I'm sure we all have.

If the banking and real estate markets keep sucking balls, Sarver may have to sell. :D

Or...he may just totally ruin the Suns and turn them into his only money making businesss. :(

Keep in mind: We have an unusually high payroll.

I am only about 449.5 million short but hopefully soon.

I swear Suns fans are hopeing that Cuban sells the Mav's for the estimated value of 461million and purchases the Suns for the estimated value of 450million so he can pocket the 11 mil.

Can we stop the Sarver sucks bandwagon already. The guy is a fan have you seen him during a game. Just because you could spend 90 million on team does not make you a winner ask James Dolan how that worked for him in New York. Ask Dan Snider were he's storing all his Lombardi trophies from the past ten years.

We need to stop b8%2tching there is only one Mark Cuban in the league. Ask the Maverick fans how their Larry O'brien trophy looks.

I like a guy who doesn't stop at anything to provide the best for his team. The difference between Mark Cuban and Robert Sarver in their approach to how they run their respective teams' is absolutely MASSIVE. Robert Sarver has spent money to be sure, but EVERYTHING seems to be a financial decision, and his presence seems to be toxic. Way too much turnover over the years, hardly any consistency. It all starts from the top.

That's what I think we are afraid of the most, that Sarver thinks of the Suns as his only money maker left and tries to maximize profits, since his real estate holdings have to be craptacular, and basically becomes Sterling 2.0

It's just so frustrating sometimes. Every couple of seasons we get close to the finals and instead of giving us that last piece for a championship he looks to trade away our players for cash.

Who knows if Shaq's or Ben Wallace's contract would have been used to get us help we might be facing Boston right now. *Sigh*

Maybe we can work some underhanded, under the table deal with Cuban where he buys the Mavs, and we keep Amare while acquiring Dirk!

But we have to remember, Cuban has way more cash than Sarver, so he can afford to make these big decisions or pay these huge contracts...but also, he is WILLING to spend, willing to take a loss, if it means any sort of chance that his team will win something, which is what Sarver has not done. Even Jerry Buss is willing to take a hit financially if it means success, and from a 2005 report, he is not as wealthy as Sarver is.

From that, I really think it is mostly about the mentality of our owner. He wants to make money, and with all respect, he is a buisness man. But he is in the NBA, competing against owners who want to WIN.

Condolences. It was pretty grim in Boston when we had an owner like that.

"ThanksDad" Gaston + Chris Wallace as GM = Joe Johnson to the Suns and (separate deal) Vin Baker to the Celtics.

Ouch.

My vow: when I win the lottery, I will buy the Suns.

And my first hire will be Richard Dumas as GM :hoop:
