Yup, good trade. Hawes blows and Noc's extra year wasn't great. Next year you could probably resign Dally for 3-4m per which would be a reasonable deal. Or, the Kings might get lucky and draft cousins and Dally can platoon with DC until DC can go 30+ minutes a night.

I think we gave up on Hawes too early. This can bite on our butts in the future if Hawes actually realize his potential.

...

I like Dalembert, he gives us needed defensive presense down low.

Well it'll save you guys money after this year but Dalembert has a trade kicker that ups his salary if traded. I have mixed feelings on the trade, hate Noc but like Hawes. Can you guys tell me more about Hawes and how he did for the Kings? For Dalembert, you get a defensive anchor that can rebound and block shots with the best of em. The only problem is that he makes many mental mistakes that will make you tear out your hair and is inconsistent. His offensive game is very limited but can occasionally hit the 15 foot jumphot and shoots free throws pretty well for a C. Plus he can dunk! lol

I wonder if this means the Kings won't take Cousins at #5?

And why on Earth did the 76ers pull the trigger on this?

I think it means Monroe or Cousins will definitely be a King. Monroe duplicates a lot of Hawes abilities. Decent deal for Kings.

And this is the typical "out of nowhere" trades by Petrie.

Petrie never cease to surprise people.

that's why we did this trade hehehe :D

Hawe's can spread the floor for you guys and is a good passing big, he is kinda like the opposite of a traditional big... the kid is still young though, but i doubt he has the work ethic to be the player people envisioned him of becoming. but if he does then you got yourself a gem in hawe's.

This is funny. Shrink was working on a trade proposal that would send Dally + #7 to Sacramento and ship Nocioni + #5 out.

Good trade for the Kings. I don't know why Philly does it unless they play on picking Favors or Cousins. Hawes does nothing for them.

Very interesting, Very very interesting. If you draft cousins u solidify ur front court, but u need another scorer that can create his own shot who can you get

As a Sixer fan you guys made out well. Sam is a knucklehead (on the floor) and a bit of a drama queen off- but he is one of the elite athletes, rebounders and shot blockers at the C position. He is also great on finsihing alley-oops, so will be a good complement for Evans.

As a Sixer fan, can you give me a reason to be glad we got Hawes? Because right now the Sixers look to have zero rebounding or defense across their front line (Hawes, Brand, Speights, Young.)

This re-iterated my notion that the Kings are the league's "tight-lipped" organization:

The deal was agreed to on Tuesday night and the two teams have been working out details Thursday morning. Barring some last minute hitch the trade should be completed as early as Thursday afternoon, according to the sources.

So, this deal has been already agreed couple of days ago. And we did not heard anything!

Nocioni is GONE!!!!

Only thing I'm worried about is Cousins. Does this mean Petrie is going to take freakin' Monroe?

well in hawe's at least you get that shooting and passing big, which will be good for your athletic wings... he would have been good in that princeton offense you had last yeart... he's not a good rebounder and is an ok weakside shotblocker...
