Dalambert traded to the Kings for Niconi and Hawes. It gives the Sixers an overload at the SF and Wing positions, especially if they are going to draft Turner. Could this trade encourage the sixers to trade for AK-47 (as a PF) by sending either Iggy or Nicioni/(draft pick-Turner) to the Jazz? The Jazz would have to throw them the 9th pick at the very least as well.
As for the Trade itself, seems like a great deal for the Kings as they get a defensive center with only one year left on his contract in exchange for Nicioni (bad contract-chucker-malcontent) and Hawes (malcontent-short center).

Dalembert sucks.
Though I don't understand why the Sixers wanted to take back Nocioni with AI and most likely Turner coming in the draft.

Does it give the Turner + Brand for (exp?) + Cousins/Aldrich scenario some wheels? They need a center more than a wing. I'm surprised you're not all over this one, Bat. Maybe gives your "watch the philly pick" thread a new look.

Am i the only one who thinks it makes it more likely that the kings are the ones who make a move and not the sixers? Dally, thompson, landry. They could afford to move down and still get a big(if they wanted one) and acquire some other assets.

I'm not really sure what this trade means. Draftexpress is reporting that this trade has been in the works since January. So maybe the teams did want to wait until they got some work outs under their belt to see if they could make a clear cut decision on who they wanted to draft.
Maybe the Kings don't love anyone at 5 and are ready to move back in the draft to get a win player to replace K-Mart and to go along side Reke, or maybe they really like someone like Whiteside and think they can move back and get him.

I don't get where this "chucker" status comes from. Nocioni has career averages of 11.3 ppg, shooting at .433%. That's actually not bad at all. It's not great, but it definitely doesn't qualify him as a "chucker".

Nocioni can be right fit for a run and gun system like the Suns, but in structured offense like the Jazz, Nocioni would help the outside shooting but break away from the offense so much that Sloan could bench him.

I think that this trade is good for one reason...
Kings will select Monroe...
Maybe we can select Aldrich...

The Sixers have Elton Brand at PF, this trade doesn't change that. If they want Kirilenko it would purely be to get out of contracts. Kirilenko and the #9 for Iggy has some logic but I suspect the Jazz just keep the cheaper player (the #9).

Dalembert himself is more of a malcontent than Hawes ever was. That said I think both sides got what they wanted.

True shooting percentage of 50% and a usage above 20%. Most stars players have similar usage to him, but have a true shooting percentage that's seven points higher.
