Anthony "Magic" Randolph?

Randolph hasnt done even half of what Evans has in one year.

I still dont get it. Care to explain why Tryeke is the "Most Overrated" young player in the league? And why he is being brought up in the level of Anthony Randolph?

Are you being purposefully dense? Or is your reading comprehension just that bad?

NO-KG-AI said that he thinks Evans is the most overrated (not the worst, just the most overrated) young player in the league. I disagreed with his assessment and offered up a young player who I think is more overrated, Anthony "Magic" Randolph. Get it now?

Whose word? You might not believe Chad Ford (who put Cousins back at #5 in his mock draft today) but I think Sam Amick--who covered the Kings for the Sacramento Bee before moving to FanHouse, and said today the Kings like Cousins, then Monroe--has a pretty good read on things. Yahoo and others also reported that the Kings were very impressed with Cousins' work out.

So whose word? Do tell...

Thanks for the insult and making yourself a genius. So you will get a better recap of what you posted.

Anthony "Magic" Randolph?

By posting this as your response you have no clear position. It can be interpreted in different ways like in my case, it is equivalent to saying he is in the same level of Anthony Randolph.

Tyreke Evans gets comparisons to LeBron James and Kobe Bryant, when he's not nearly in that ballpark in terms of talent. But boy, he got that 20/5/5!!!

I dont understand where the hate is coming from. I said a semi-version of Kobe-Shaq combination. Whats wrong with that?

You don't get it.

He only gets compared to a rookie LeBron. LeBron at that age was only a year younger than Evans. It is not totally unreasonable and condescending to make that specific comparison.

And I never heard Kobe as a legitimate comparison. That's made up.

There isn't a person with a brain that can make a comparison of LeBron/Kobe NOW to Evans as a rookie. Not even close.

....

What Evans did (20/5/6) is remarkable. There is only a hand selected few that achieve the feat as a rookie.

I don't need excuses for an opinion. Dude isn't going to be a superstar, and when he comes out and his averages are close to the same thing this year as they were last year, everyone else will be scrambling for excuses.

Arguably a top 5 PG and a top 3 Center down the road is a draft lottery combination?

Wow.

Well if Tyreke Evans is a career 20/5/5 guy I'm sure not too many people will be complaining. Only 4 players have averaged that over the past 5 years. And only 4 players since the merger have averaged that for their careers. Those are hardly pedestrian numbers

As far as he playing with Cousins it looks like that may be a moot point now considering they went with Dalembert

dalembert is an expiring, defensive center...how does this trade to dump nocioni(not to mention their young C prospect Hawes...) indicate that they wouldnt take cousins if he's there?

I doubt the Kings GM is dense enough to let a mediocre, expiring bench player influence his draft decision.

Well I hope you guys are right. Actually what that trade may mean is that the Sixers may consider Cousins. Not as cool a move as Sacramento but rather Philly than Minnesota

I dunno maybe it's all those years where KG couldn't win there (even though it's not their fault) or the fact that they took all those PGs and cost my Hawks a chance to get Ty Lawson (who Im just assuming we would have drafted)

I guess I do need to get over it. But in this particular case just think for the future of the NBA standpoint that Cousins and Evans could be one heck of a duo. No not Shaq and Kobe legendary but pretty dang good

Lol, yea, I have a grudge, because I'm so mad at Tyreke and the Kings.

I see it more as a pairing of hardaway and shaq than alone shaq thing.

The addition of dalembert to me makes it more likely that we draft cousins. The kings were continuing their philosophical change from skilled and soft to tough and physical I think cousins would be a likely extension of that philosophy.
