The addition of dalembert to me makes it more likely that we draft cousins. The kings were continuing their philosophical change from skilled and soft to tough and physical I think cousins would be a likely extension of that philosophy.

man if sac takes anyone but cousins at 5 they are idiots imo, and i agree i think the dalembert trade is designed with cousins in mind...i think they start dalembert for half the season to let cousins come along a bit slowly and then move him and his expiring contract somewhere near the deadline for some kind of asset and let cousins take the reigns as a starter.....deal also frees up minutes for casspi which is good.....nocioni's contract isn't as bad as people make out he earns about 6.5 mil this upcoming season and the following then a team option for third, so he is effectively an expiring after the up coming season...not bad at all imo

You also have to remember the Kings maybe more than any team in the league look at how they could match up with the Lakers. Dalembert and Cousins with Thompson would be a front line that actually could matchup with the Lakers in size.

True. They'd be a lot like the Blazers in that regard

Philly - Guy here and that is the exact reason I want Cousins. The Lakers beat pepole by being bigger than there opponents if not more skilled. The took 15 o'boards from Boston in Game 7. I don't want my team going into a match-up short in height/length and that happen here. We got Brand who is short for his position. We need a board dominator on our team. Unfortunately coach Collins wants Favors. I hope Cousins serves him up in NJ when they do the 1-1 simulation drills.

Cousins looks absolutely perfect with a cheeseburger in his hands. Seriously though, the guy has tons of surly upside. I think the sky's the limit, but the question nobody can answer is whether he will get out of his own way in order to reach it.

Zach Randolph. More body fat % than you'd like to see, questionable attitude, but a potential 20-10 guy for his career.

Add intensity, fire and competitiveness and Zach certainly had the talent to be a tier 1 big in the NBA.

Cousins outshines Favors again. Showing off a legit jumper up to 20 feet.

Just thing about that. A Center in the league with more size and length than Dwight Howard with far more skill.

Cousins has potential to be the best Center in the league, at worst just 2nd to Dwight.

i wonder why the nets for working cousins out. hes clearly a center and they already have a nice legit proven young center in brook lopez.

anyways i think cousins can end up being best player in this draft and if i were the 76ers front office i would take cousins, even though i love evan turner as a player.

Twin Towers approach has worked before.

It makes you wonder how big the red flags are on him. IMO he really could just as easily be the number one pick in the draft on talent. Its a weird draft for him too. He would be a good fit in Washington, but they are taking a PG despite already having one which will be hard to get rid of. Philly also has a need at his spot but are taking yet another wing. NJ is the one team that is actually good at his position. Minny could miraculously get him but their GM doesn't like his character and is somehow convincing himself to take Johnson who is not a fracnhise caliber talent. I think Sacramento would be interesting place for him to end. Between Cousins, Tyerke, and Casspi that would be a team that other teams would hate playing due to their sheer physicality

The red flags have really been overblown. I think he has impressed people in work outs and his range is 2 to 5. I'm not buying all these mocks that have him falling to GS or Detroit. The only team with a legit reason not to get him is NJ, and they actually like him a lot. If they were convinced that he can play PF or that Favors does not have that superstar potential that everyone says i think they can draft him.

I dont know why people assume he cant be a PF at this point based on his combine numbers alone. He has to go out there and show it, noone knows for sure right now.

290 lbs will have the same impact, whether he "looks" skinny or fat. He will break his foot, knee or leg by the end of the season. He's the next great big injury, Oden II.

I agree completely. Just about every time I see him I think he doesn't really look like a guy pushing 3 bills. He has one of those long broad bodies that does seem to hold the weight better than most.

It does depend somewhat though doesn't it? I mean Shaq has been well over 300lbs for virtually all of his career, and only now has it really caught up with him. Keep in mind also the breaking and general disrepair of the lower limbs doesn't always have to do with size, I'm not sure how heavy Walton was for his career or Grant Hill for that matter, even so these guys have had more problems with their feet than probably any five or six pros combined.

I think a lot of this depends on the genetic hand you're dealt, Walton can be about 240 or 250 for his career and have all kinds of problems, and Shaq can be 350 and have remarkably few problems, it's a difficult thing to calculate.
