I hear that Turkish guy you over paid for is on the trading block, and Deng at 25 years old is much better than Hedo is. He is a little over paid (but so is everyone in the NBA) but we need to get rid of the contract to make room for Bosh and eventually Rose and Noah. Taj is young (really don't want to let him go), Deng is young, the rook will be young. I think its the best you'll get (and much better then what you'll get from Miami) so any takers on this thread??

Yes. I don't think we would get a better player than Deng in return.

But Deng has no ceiling whatsoever. Im not saying I disagree with the deal but why take on Deng who blocks the development of Derozan/Weems/Draft Pick.

Id prefer they kept Deng, and gave us Asik instead. Its enough were gifting them the best PF in the league for the next 3-4 years.

Add Johnson and the rights to Asik and yes. Coldfish (your Chi-town board brother) was in agreement on this one also.

Deng is an SF, and exactly the type of SF that we need to pair with Bargs. Neither Derozen or Weems fit this mold.

The Bulls also have a future first round pick from the Bobcat's that could be used in a sign in trade rather than trading Taj.

Nope. That trade gives you guys the room needed to sign Lebron too. Without this deal that isn't possible unless you can find some other sucker. You can keep Taj and give us Noah. That should be the bare minimum asking price for handing a conference rival a dynasty.

What about this:

1. Bosh (16.5 M) + Hedo (11 M) to New York for

W. Chandler
B. Walker
E. Curry
TPE (~14 M)

Trade Bosh to the Knicks for a couple of young risers and a large expiring. A TPE would be created as NY is under the cap. If NY balks at Hedo, we could do Bosh/Calderon instead.

2. Trade the TPE to NO for Okfor and Collison.

At the end of the day we get D. Collison, B. Walker, W. Chandler, Okafor and a large expiring for bosh. NY doesn't break the bank for bosh, and we take back Curry to give them more room this summer. NO immediately gets out of the Okafor contract at the cost of Collison.

At the end of the day, we have:

Collison/Jack
DD/Weems
Walker/Chandler
Bargs
Okafor

We try to trade Calderon for a future pick to a team like Mia if they don't get a PG. We can throw in Bellineli/expirings as an incentive.

We also have Evans, Banks, and Curry expiring to give us some future flexibility.

^^
Not bad - but would rather see Gallo come back from NY as he and Turk play the same position - and it would be "some kind of asset" for Bosh (the rest of the players aren't worth much).

Pretty fair, but we don't need Taj, unless we are planning to let Amir Johnson go...Maybe Deng + Joe Johnson + Asik + 17th pick for Bosh + an expiring or something along these line? Can we also get a TPE from the bulls?

If it's a trade to the Bulls I'd just want Asik, their 2010 draft pick, Johnson, and the TPE. The TPE and a 2010 pick is starting to look like decent value.

3 picks in this draft is what I want and I wouldn't be at all surprised if we got them.

Personally I'd want Gibson over Johnson... I don't see much potential in him, while Taj looked decent defensively. He's 6'10" with a decent 7'4" wingspan, put up 9ppg/7.5rpg/1.2bpg last season shooting 50% from the field. Plus he's friends with DeMar. I'd rather have Taj/Amir as our bench 4/5 than James Johnson as a mediocre SF prospect (but definitely the main pieces are Asik and the pick)

chadfordinsider:
Not really ... I don't think they can trade Artest first of all. Odom won't be easy to trade either. They could have a deal of Bynum for Bosh with Toronto, but Bosh has to agree and the Raptors have to be comfortable with Bynum's knee. Right now that's not looking so good.

I don't want any part of bynum and his wonky knee. Let Bosh walk for 30 mill less than pull that deal off.

To TOR: Lee (S&T) + Curry + Chandler
To NYK: Bosh + Calderon

Trade Hedo for anything

Jack / Bradley / Banks
Derozan / Weems / Belinelli
Chandler / SF (bought pick? Robinson?)
Lee / Johnson / Dorsey
Bargnani / Evans / Curry

yes? no?

I like Varejo, and Mo, but do not think there is a chance that Cleveland does this.

Is Amir comming off the bench next year?

If Cleveland would do this I would roll Mo in a garbage can to Toronto myself.

So what are the thoughts here about a Baron/Griffin for Bosh (S&T)/Jack swap?
