Hear, hear. Congrats Laker fans. Hope the Heat can challenge the Lakers next year.

man, some C's fans ruin this for me by consistently blaming the officiating...

There were just as many calls that went against us as there were against Boston. This is the definition of selective memory, they only remember the bad calls against them, but ignores or takes the calls against us for granted

Boston fans easily have the most selective memory when it comes to their team, going all high and mighty when they remember Oh man, 4-0 against the lakers in game 7, and blah blah blah, but when you even mention Phil Jacksons 47-0 when winning game 1 record, oh no, that doesnt mean a thing

Don't let them ruin it, feed off their jealousy and use it to make the win more enjoyable. They're hurting and it shows, savour it!

Congrats once again!

Thanks

A guy left Staples wearing a Pierce jersey on the escalator. I pointed him to the elevator because it has wheel chair access. He told me we are now even 1 to 1. I told him I was born in 81 and he needs to catch up.

It was a good laugh. The guy had too much pride to take the jersey off. I understood it in Staples but thought for safety reasons he should have taken it off near the parking when the crazed crowd (many who werent inside) went nuts. Its not too smart to wear a Pierce jersey where people might be rioting that HATE the Inglewood trader.

I was worried for him.

Congrats to you guys.
Sad to see some of the fans lost their hope early and started calling this championship "tainted" and blaming the refs if the Celtics would've won. Good thing that the Lakers didnt lose their hope like some of their fans.

how good does it feel to finally tell the people who said kobe cant win without shaq (well he did it twice now) to stfu......and tell the lebron fans to please get championship number one, and stop coming up with excuses when you lose (an elbow?) come on kobe won his 5th ship on a bad foot, bad knee, and broke finger....and celts fans the refs didnt cheat you, especially when kobe and pau dam* near outrebounded you by themselves

Great win, and a gutsy performance by our role players. Last night they carried our star players for a change, and it was great to see them step up and contribute after all the times I've bashed them throughout the post-season. Artest, Fisher, Odom, and Vujacic all have my appreciation for what they brought.

Kobe was bad -- really bad -- but I'm glad he pulled it together in the 4th and contributed on offense. His defense and rebounding were as good as I've seen all post-season, so at least he still played hard on the other end of the floor. I'm especially proud of him for admitting that he faltered most of the game, while at the same time coming out and saying that his teammates carried him. Props for that.

Gasol... this guy is great and I'm glad we have him. He came through in the 2nd half, nailing free throw after free throw and grabbing every rebound in sight. He's a true professional and I want him to retire a Laker. After a few more seasons (and possibly titles), he's going to be making a push as one of the Lakers all-time greats if he continues to produce the way he has.

Anyway, this marked the 7th time that I've watched the Lakers win a championship, but it's the first time that I teared up after the final buzzer. I had to watch most the game in isolation and away from my fiancee who was up in my room watching the game as well, primarily because I was pissed the whole time and didn't want her to see me explode in frustration. I ended up watching the final minutes with her and she was hugging me the whole time, and as the buzzer sounded my emotions came out and tears of joy ran down my face. Great, great feeling.

What an emotional roller-coaster this series has been. Hats off to the Celtics for making us earn it. They were tough as nails and one quarter away from a truly epic championship run, but at the end we are the ones that held up the Larry O'Brian. I desperately wanted us to avenge that 2008 ass-whooping and I'm proud of the entire team for pulling through and leaving it all out on the court.

In closing...

nyah nyah, nyah nyah, nyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah nyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
