VIA The Score Ticker: ESPN Reports Cavs contact Raptors

Post#1 » by PaperHoops » Fri Jun 18, 2010 5:55 pm

ESPN is reporting the Cavs have contacted the Raptors about Chris Bosh. In this scenario, it would appear they are trying to bring CB4 in to play alongside LBJ.

It has also been reported that the Raptors will try and slide Jose into any S&T package they make with CB4. If you are Bryan Colangelo, and you're looking at the Cavs as a potential suitor.... who are you wanting in return and why?

Also, do you think this has anything to do with the Cavs trying to buy another pick? They would send the pick to Toronto in this deal for CB4/Jose.

I'm not expert on exact salaries or whatever - so I ask those who know, what would the Raptors expect in return?

Horrible, aside from Lebron, Cleveland has an absolutely dreadful team.

I dont want anything they have, even Hickson. Hickson doesnt have anymore potential than Amir.

There's no deal to be made with the CAVS for Bosh. Actually, there is one but.....

CB is not going to Cleveland...period. LBJ is NOT staying in cleveland so why in the world would CB go there??? I don't he'd even go there even if LBJ did stay.

Maybe Hickson, Mo, Varejao & a bought pick for Bosh, Turk & Jose?

Could be worth it to get out from those contracts, but it's nothing great.

Cavs have nothing, they actually have less assets than we do minus Bron.

Hickson? I wouldnt give up Amir SU for him.

You won't even speculate that it has merit this headline?

You wouldn't be happy with Mo Williams, Varajaeo, Hickson, their bought 1st rounder, their other 1st rounder?

I'm sure if LBJ stays, they're going to surround him with another big name. Speculate...

Cleveland just doesn't get it.... :nonono:

They don't have the pieces to get another star....Nobody wants there junk

Any another Big man isn't there problem they need a SG badly last year they thought
Anthony Parker was the solution which is beyond comical.

to take Jose and Bosh in a S&T scenario the cavs would need to send 20.4 million thats excluding the TK jose has. Factor in though that if there is a deal with the Cavs Mo WIlliams and JJ Hickson would likely be coming back our way.

Maurice Williams $9,300,000
J.J. Hickson $1,528,920

so we would still need another 9.6 million or so to make the salaries match. Players on Cleveland left to trade would be.

Anderson Varejao $7,031,818
Antawn Jamison $13,358,905
Delonte West $4,500,000
Daniel Gibson $4,015,334
Jamario Moon $3,000,000
Anthony Parker $2,855,769
Sebastian Telfair $2,700,000
Leon Powe $915,852

* No 2010 1st round pick (owed to Washington)
* have the rights to christian eyenga (former 1st round pick in 2008 i believe)

so do they have anything? i wouldnt do it

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

wouldn't this technically be considered tampering since Bosh isn't a FA until July 1st?

Bosh + Jose
for
Mo Williams and ... never mind.

Yeah, they pretty much revolve around Lebron. Williams is open so often because of Lebron it isn't even funny.

It would only be tampering if they spoke to Bosh.
