TUF 11 Fianle Card thread ....

Post#1 » by Nemesis21 » Thu Jun 17, 2010 11:22 pm

Pretty good card. Looking forward to Hamill/ Jardine. Probably the only person on this board that is a fan of Leben, should be a good fight with Simpson. (my pick for FOTN)

Hamill/Jardine
McGee/McCray
Leben/A Simpson
Fisher/Siver
Yager/Attonito

Gunderson/Holst
B Tavares/Baczynski
Noke/Bryant
Hammortree/Camozzi
McSweeny/Browne

Nobody. Possibly the worst finals fight ever for talent.

Jamie Yager will stick around because I think people care about him. Assuming he can win some fights, that is.

Love Leben.

Hammil's got odds in his favor, surprisingly.

Fisher vs Siver will be awesome. They're both real technical kickboxers built like brick s***houses.

If Jardine loses he will probably gets cut. If he gets KO'd, again, he definitely gets cut.

I hope McSweeney gets KTFO. Hated that dude on TUF. Dude is 4-4, but UFC doctored up his record some.

Yeah McSweeney was a suck up of epic proportions. Yager is lucky he had some nice knockouts early on because usually guys who "quit" like that don't get second chances.

Hamill (bad stylistically for Jardine)
McGee (I actually think he looks solid, awesome chin and reach, only loss is to Horn... McCray has heart, but not a lot of skill)
Simpson (pick 'em)
Fisher (too good for Siver)
Attonito (more experienced, better wrestler, throws a nice lead uppercut and we all know Yager hates being hit)

Gunderson (though I'd rather Holst win)
B Tavares (though I'd rather Alphabet win)
Noke (though I'd rather Bryant win)
Camozzi (he's tougher)
McSweeney (hate him, but he's got a good camp)

Man, I don't see how you can pick between Siver and Fisher.

Fisher's gonna stand in the pocket and pop him in the face for fifteen minutes ala Pearson.

Wasn't into this TUF season...only watched the episode to find out what happened with Tito and to see Rich's coaches on the show.

Good sprawl and brawl by Leban and a good stoppage.

Hamill and and Jardine was a war in the last two rounds. I had R1 10-9 Jardine, R2 10-8 Hamill, and R3 I wasn't paying close attention but I still had Jardine 10-9. I thought it would be a 28-28 draw.

Jardine's complete lack of athleticism is more of an affliction than Hammil's deafness. I'm not being entirely facetious. It's just not a formal disability. God, he was tripping all over himself after the first - crossing his legs over, barely able to move laterally. Someone like Shogun would just be all over those mis-steps. I'm not even hating on him. He's an uncoordinated dude who has risen above it.

Congrats to McGee - he looked alright actually, won't be anything special but decent fodder for the undercard to feed potential up and comers I think.

Jardine's had it now, that "awkward style" doesnt get him any where now, but the fight did have me thinking a bit more about Hamill, I do rate him as a fighter, hope to see him continue upwards now, he's got good talent and I enjoy his fights a lot.

Glad to see McSweeny lost, never rated him, pains me when he wins lol.

Hamill didn't look that impressive, I don't think. His boxing defense is crazy...lunging in with no coverage. Leben too. No head movement at all. His head is straight up.

I'm impressed Leben beat Simpson. Aaron's no joke.

The question is if Fisher or Jardine are cut. They must have a combined 25-30 fights in the UFC.
