i know alot of you on this board are from austriala but how many of you saw the USA game today? if you did youd have to save the reffing was almost as bad as the nba. i was just wondering what everyones thoughts on the game were and the world cup in general

I can't get behind a sport that ends in a tie.

TWICE! WTF!

I did enjoy watching the usa england match more than I thought I would. didnt get to see the slovenia one but saw highlights.

Reffing in general frustrates me when you know there is nothing you can do even when a ref admits fault or seems to regret a call they make. Allow replays, allow call changes, allow us to accept that humans make mistakes instead of allowing a botched play dictate the outcome of a game.

Should have been a win today...at least they came back to tie and got a point though.

yeah that is the worst part about poor officiating. theres nothing they can do. even though all admit it was wrong they cant go change it. like maryvale said at least they got the point and england tied so USA is still in it. :D

I like the World Cup. The ties will go away once pool play is over, just relax.

This happens to literally every team I follow lol. I'm not surprised by it anymore. Oh well, a win on Wednesday and we're advancing anyways.

It was an awful call but it happens all the time. You all are just no used to it (well. Maybe in the NBA but not in soccer).

Italy wouldn't be the last champion if it weren't for a terrible call against Australia.

After taking a closer look. That was BAD refereeing. But the guy was just a mess overall. He completely interrumpted a break away that could have been Slovenia's third goal too. USA just happened to get the worst part. Horrible ref.

I saw the game. I think USA should have won that game with that shot that would have put them up 3-2.
