haha, love seeing you adding a "č" by error while it would take me a **** of errors to do that :)

Magic of czech keyboard where č is at place of 4 (you get 4 by pressing Shift) :) And I'm mistyping a lot so... You can thank Jan Hus (Jean Huss in French) for that:)

This red card trend is awful - it produces so many ugly games. Not that all of them were bogus calls but still.

It really is puzzling why / how FIFA always sweeps these kinds of controversy under the rug... They never address what happens so nothing really changes...

Yeah, same with é è ç and à for us, on the 2 7 9 and 0 key :)

Didn't know about Jan Hus, thanks for the history lesson :D

We have é as 0 (we actually have letter with diactitics instead of every number excep redundant + which is reaplacing 1)

ç - funny, it reminded me old days when Lexy kinda got a Alt135 nickname because of the shotcut for that letter

@bizz, good luck vs england. i was really impressed with the slovenian side. your keeper is a stud and some of your set pieces were lovely. lots of size and pace up front. i liked that your team didnt try to park the bus in the 2nd half, although in hindsight, that might have been a better plan. the ref really was crap all around. he let the match get way too physical

@det, they really shouldnt let sneijder and vdv play together. it should be one or the other. not both.

my fantasy team is having a better day, sneijder with a goal and bendtner with a goal and assist.

This seems inefficient to me, on the Mexican keyboards you make an accent by hitting the apostrophe key and then the letter you want. So é would be made by typing apostrophe then "e," That way all the numbers can stay where they are...

The only problem is you can't make apostrophes, but they don't need them in Spanish anyway....

Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans win.

Hell yeah, Gary knows what he's talking about.

Maybe Germany and England will even meet in the last 16 match right after the group phase.
I think we'd then just have a draw after 120 minutes and beat them in penalties, cause they can't shoot them and we've never lost those at a WC. :P

Anyways, looking forward to that Brazil vs. Ivory Coast match tonight.
Hopefully it isn't as tactical as i expect it to be.

Thanks Fatlever. Damn I'm so nervous and the game is still days away. And I'm not even a die hard football fan. As most of Slovenians I'm a alpine skiier first basketball fan second and football comes third. But we need to eliminate England. This seems so strange even typing it. But why not they are in ruins right now and I hope they won't recover and realize that it's their game 7. I'm still hoping for a draw in US Algeria match, just in case Fifa decides to screw us once more and decides it would be bad for WC if England goes home. Sure there are only about 1000 Slovenians in South Africa, but if you go by % that means there should be 150. 000 Americans and we all know there aren't nearly that many.

I was a little skeptical when I read Landon Donovan's comments about his goal. He said he didn't have a good angle so he just fired it at the guys face and hoped he would flinch, which he did. Watching the replay, that's exactly what happened. I think that ball would have gone off the keeper's head if he hadn't flinched.

It can't be good technique to close your eyes when the ball comes at you....

Damn, Kaka gets a fake red card and it costs me 2 points. This sucks so much.

Apart from this, it's really a shame how refereeing is handled in soccer.

Man, not only does your national squad play really bad, your ref's been pure crap in this one as well.

I really hope Elano won't miss any matches after that guy tried to break his leg.

I even heard French players refuse to participate in training in reaction anelka was sent home after the conflict with Domenech. Stating they ahve a traitor among them because of the leaked info.

Fantasy wise I have a dilemma whether to play Xavi or Cristiano Ronaldo (or both if I would make myself to belive both will score more than 5 points). If 2-3-5 or so lineups of ancient times of soccer would be legal in this game that would help:) Too many goals conceded by my defensmen. EDIT: I can't have for forwards, nevermind. Go Xavi, go!

Congrats Tupik for current first place, i will do my best to get it back :D I guess I traded bit too much maybe.

As we talked about it, from the (fantasy game) rules: *A clean sheet is defined as conceding 0 goals and playing 61+ minutes.

I also find our situation quite hilarious. I mean, we knew from the start that we would screw this WC, so at least they're entertaining us a bit while they're still there. Everyday I wake up expecting some new **** to have hit the fan, and every day it has indeed happen

What happened is that the players refused to train, saying that they didn't accept the French Football Federation's decision to exclude Anelka from the team. What's even more funny is that their point was that they had to be the most prepared possible to be able to play at their best level... and they decide to skip training, as this was the best way to get prepared

So Evra and our physical trainer (a very competent one, Vieira attributed a lot of our 2006 WC success to him) got into an altercation because he wasn't ok with the player's decision. After that, the players went back to the bus.

And now the most hilarious moment : The players (or probably one of the agents, seeing as the letter was a bit too well written for a player) had written a note for the medias explaining the situation, and it was actually Domenech that went to read it to the medias.
He gets insulted, boycotted by the players, and then he's the one that has to read the letter

I can't wait till there's a new clash tomorrow !
