I have heard of no such rumor, but then, I'm not an insider. I don't think we have a regular hear by that name.

Never heard of him or the rumor. Why trade #5 for Iggy? Just keep it and draft Cousins or Aldrich.

No...unless he has a different username on another Cavs forum.Westbrook36 wrote:Some guy is on our board who claims he's a Cavs insider. He's only posted on our board by the way and never on this one for some weird reason. But he says the Cavs are close to trading Mo Williams for the #5 pick and Udrih and then they want to ship the #5 to the Sixers for Iguodala.
The whole thing sounds like a load of BS though. Any of you guys know vandy0925?
On another Cavs forum some of us frequent a deal like #5/Udrih/Noc for Mo/filler was brought up a few days ago (not by an insider, tho). That would rid SAC of two of its worst contracts while providing a decent fit...but obviously that's not possible anymore since Noc is a Sixer.
Ugh. No.gflem wrote:Never heard of him or the rumor. Why trade #5 for Iggy? Just keep it and draft Cousins or Aldrich.

Davis is redundant since we already have Varejao and while I love picks, I just don't see this as being enough unless LeBron is begging to go to Boston.
Sorry ahead of time for posting a simliar question in the Lebron free agency thread.
I find it interesting that you think Rondo will be severely overpriced at $11million per for the next five years where he'll be 24-29 years of age. Especially considering what he's done throughout his time in Boston, particularly in the playoffs. Truly, Rondo has one major hole in his game, which is FT shooting. He's already starting to become a solid mid-range shooting threat given how much space teams need to give him in order to keep him out of the paint. He's also a guy who you can build a very exciting brand of basketball around.
Obviously, I don't think it's highly likely that a trade like this occurs, but Lebron WOULD have to literally demand to be traded to Boston in order for this to have any chance of occurring. I'd be interested to hear what other contending type teams could potentially offer in S&T for Lebron.

You're saying Lebron wouldn't want to go to a team where he'd be the likely favorite to win the next 2-3 Championships? If you put Lebron next to Ray, Paul, KG, Perkins and a cast of roleplayers you'd be a near lock for the finals and a likely favorite against the LAL. Lebron wants to win championships and playing alongside Paul, KG, and Ray would be a great way to get that goal accomplished.

Next 2-3 Championships? LOL.
Even if this were 100% definite... what happens after that? Then he is on 15-67 teams till he retires.
BTW... even if LeBron "Demanded" to be traded to Boston... it wouldn't happen. Dan Gilbert has already stated previously, that under NO circumstances would he EVER trade LeBron. I am surprised that this statement by him has been pretty much ignored by the general media. We would ALL rather see LeBron walk, than to play a role in him going to another team. Even if we got CP3 & CB4 in return... it wouldn't happen...and that would be a fair trade...almost.

Only way they trade that package is as a pure salary slash. Trading for Antawn leaves them on the hook for $15M next season...far more than the two guys they are trading away.
I do think we could get them but it would have to be for JJ, West, and a bunch of expirings.

I'm not particularly "impressed" by Omeka... yet his defense was rated better than any of our bigs, with the exception of Zydrunas, who's stats were skewed because he had less that 100 defensive possessions from which to evaluate him.
Omeka is also younger (28) and although he is no star and is way overpaid, he would be an excellent role-player on a good starting unit. We are not going to have all-stars at every position, and when looking at the team from that view-point, if you add Omeka, and either a near elite SG or PF (preferably an elite SG), and perhaps a few other minor changes, then you have the look of a well-balanced team.
Example:
C: Omeka/Zydrunas/Kaun/
PF: Antawn/Hickson/Powe/
SF: LeBron/MLE?/Jawad
SG: S&T/Green/Gibson/MLE?
PG: Mo/Gibson/
***Pick may be used on C, PF, or SG...or possibly even PG if right guy is available***
(This line-up assumes that West, and Varejao are traded for someone in the Joe Johnson range)
(It Also assumes a Omeka + #11 pick deal for Moon/AP/Telfair)
Omeka being more of a defensive center, would compliment Jamison better. Joe Johnson would Compliment both LeBron and Mo Williams. The bench wouldn't be as strong... but the line-up is much more balanced and complimentary than it was this past season.
I expect the Cavs #1 wish is Bosh... but I think their #2 guy is Johnson...who I think would be easier to get.
Notice than in this idea that there are 4 current or formal All-stars starting, and one on the bench.

Have you watched Emeka against Orlando?
It's difficult to watch.

Re: Trade Thread
HUGE RUMOR
I just heard this rumor on AM850 out of Indianapolis... not 5 minutes ago.
Oklahoma and the Cavs are apparently talking trade. They didn't say anything was imminent or definite, but this is what I can remember:
Cavs would send: Anderson Varejao, Delonte West, Green, 2011 2nd round pick, cash
Cavs get back: James Harden, Nick Collison, #21 pick in draft, #32 pick (2nd round) in draft
I do not know if this is something being talked about, or if it is a deal that is likely... can only say what I heard.
Also.. something about Indiana making a trade for Darren Collison... missed most of it, so cannot say anything more.
....I am assuming the Cavs trade (If it were to happen) would happen the day of the draft or before, because otherwise the deal couldn't go down for another month or so...and why talk about it if it "might" happen in a month?

Re: Trade Thread
Why was an Indiana radio station talking about a Cavs-OKC trade?

HUGE RUMOR
WEEI is the 850AM station I was listening to. I live outside of Indy (about 40 miles). Dunno where the station originates...maybe Fort Worth??? Not sure, My wife had it set on that station, not me. I just said what I heard the guys (and one woman) talking about.
Edit: Apparently, it is a Boston station. But it comes in clear here in Carmel.
Edit #2: 20 Guest St. Brighton, MA 02135
Edit#3: Ironically, the station next on the dial is 950 (regular clock-radio...so bear with me) and that one is from Indianapolis. The thing is, when they got done talking and went to commercial, the commercial said 850 AM. I got the call letters (later, after the rumor was questioned) because when I turned on the radio to find exact info, it said WEEI.... and then I looked that up on the net, and it's from Brighton,Ma
Don't ask why they said something about the Cavs and Indiana...perhaps they were just rattling on about rumors and naming them all... I don't know as I only heard them for a couple minutes, and it was an accident (alarm is set to was set to wake up wife...alarm is radio... and I was in Bathroom when I heard Cavaliers mentioned. I went and posted what I listened to. After that, there was talk of college football. I assumed it was an Indiana station, because that is where I currently live.
take it or leave it...I don't really care. I just mentioned something, and was hoping that I'd heard it before it became a big mega trade story. Maybe they were talking about outlandish call-ins they'd heard...I really have no Idea - I posted exactly what I heard, as I heard (and remembered) it.

No matter how credible the source, this deal is now out there for discussion. Would the Cavliers do this? The verdict is still out on Harden, but I suppose he still has some upside too.
