how good are we?

I was just thinking, we won this championship with pretty bad shooting from 3pt range. Kobe and Gasol couldn't really kick the ball out to anybody in the finals. From 3pt range in the finals: Dfish 20%, Artest 34.4%, Odom 10%, Brown 0%, Farmar 20%, and Luke didn't attempt any. We basically beat down Boston in a slug it out style series with terrible 3pt shooting. That's just nuts.

Plus Kobe obviously wasn't near 100% with that knee and Bynum was probably playing at 60%. If Mitch does work this offseason and bolsters our bench plus Kobe and Bynum stay healthy my train of thought starts moving towards a dynasty, as in 3 or more years of making it the the finals.

We locked up Kobe, Gasol, Bynum, Odom, and soon to be dfish and all those guys love to play with each other. This group of guys are united and they support each other. Think about adding a back-up pg that can shoot and maybe another athletic 2/3 that can shoot. That's just scary man, scary.

We are the champions, this chip is sweet with all our ailments and we over came it and defended. A 100% mamba is pretty fierce though.

How good are we? Good enough to get better in the offseason and tear it up next year.

Artest shot 34%? I imagined it to be much much lower than that

Well thats why I had the hopes of a possibility of a 70 win club. We truly do have that talent, considering all the injuries it wasn't that many wins away.

Imagine if we had a consistent bench too. We have ok bench players that bust out once and a while and make some plays here and there, but I've always said, what if we have those guys like the Suns or like what the Spurs seemed to always have in their runs, and the Bulls too. Ultimate vet role players, that would come in for 2 minutes and defend like crazy and knock down open shots...

Scary that we can still get better, 3 peat is easily within grasp.
