Re: MLB Dynasty League Offseason Thread (draft in progress)
The idea of being able to bring up and send down your prospects is an issue that's been brought often lately and it seems to me that's most of the league is in favor with it. We'll take a vote this offseason on it and as usual if there's a 2/3 vote to approve it I'm fine with adding that in, we'll just have to decide the specifics of it (Ty's idea vs. OldNo7's).
Just so we can all get on the same page, you guys would prefer that the 130 AB/50 IP rule is cumulative and not based on the current season? Like I've said, as long as everyone is being held to the same condition, I think it's all the same. We should just make sure everybody knows which way it is, because I'll admit I've done a poor job of that this season.

I prefer cumulative. As was pointed out, it is meant for prospects, not just "young guys".

I updated the prospect lists to include previous years. Not sure how the league wants to deal with eligibility, etc. so Sett can decide what happens with picking prospects up until it's decided.
If anyone wants to deal some starting pitchers send me a proposal. All players are available on my team.

The deal with Chach also includes the rights to Alex Colome.
Total deal:
Chach receives: Yovani Gallardo, Marlon Byrd, Vlad Guerrero
Sett receives: Jacoby Ellsbury, Derek Holland, rights to Colome

Finally an even trade involving Sett. I'm proud of you Chach for not caving in.

Yeah, sure. Keep telling yourself that. Big fan of Nolan Ryan mentoring pitchers and I think the wild cards in this deal are going to work out. I was really going to pay any price for Jacoby though, even if it means lives is lost.

Tough luck on Holland, they said he lost feeling in his fingers.

Strasburg and Stanton debuting on the same day. And it's draft day. My head is going to explode.

Well, if you want to get technical, the high profile draftees start on Monday, not Tuesday. But yeah, pretty exciting to see those two youngsters starting on the same day.

Eh, on Monday there are only 50 picks, although the team I root for has three picks so I guess that is kind of exciting. Tuesday is the fun draft day where over 800 kids get picked.

Ladies and Germs, Delmon Young has come out of the closet. Look at that power stroke! And a .784 OPS to boot!

Can't believe bigboy has both Strasburg and Stanton.

Strasburg is a machine. Let's hope that Stanton lives up to his hype of striking out every 3.5 ABs.

Not sure it matters too much when he's hitting 40 HR annually.

I was always under the impression that Stanton was black.

Re: MLB Dynasty League Offseason Thread (draft in progress)
So does Strasburg need to throw a perfect game before you pick him up or what? The kid is already a top 10 fantasy starter...

Re: MLB Dynasty League Offseason Thread (draft in progress)
The pending trade between myself and MGD also includes my first and second round draft picks.
Yes, I am getting hosed but as I stated earlier, this is my last year in this league so Chach is going for broke and I need a catcher. Now because of this, everything that Chach would value in 2011 is up for grabs for a three month rental. This is why I have traded Ellsbury, Holland, Porcello, and draft picks thus far. So this means my remaining draft picks are up for grabs and everyone in my farm system can be had for an upgrade. This also means that there are two remaining young potential players on my current roster that have more value going forward than they do presently, Matt Wieters and Nefitali Feliz. Both of these players can be had BUT I fully expect to keep both players because you all make **** terrible trade offers. Feliz is turning out to be a very valuable closer for me so I am much more hesitant to move him but if you make a good trade offer, he can be yours. So there you go kids, have at it. mahalo

Re: MLB Dynasty League Offseason Thread (draft in progress)
Just got back from the Cape and approved the trade before I looked at this. Chach you are not allowed to trade future draft picks having already stated that you're leaving after this year, that wouldn't really make any sense in my mind. Feel free to complete that trade under revised conditions,
