Um, huh? Bulls trade Joe Johnson? Impossible.

He means James Johnson...

On the other hand, If Toronto pay max money and keep bosh, we're only really extending our treadmill status.

So I am all for a sign and trade...

True. But that is in the free agent scheme of things. That will never change. We surely have assets to go after people like Thadeus Young, RJ/Splitter, Jeff Green, Rudy Gay, Iggy... and maybe a remote chance of a Chris Paul and package if we were willing to hand them our youth core expirings, Printezis and TPE flexibility. NO has to re-sign Paul so that is a very tough one going forward. Jack/Collison makes a lot of sense for them. Bosh re-signs there on the spot.

Yes Bron, Wade, Amare, Boozer and Joe Johnson are not coming here.

I think people overrate sign and trade value basically we have to take what ever the team has that bosh wants to go to.

LOL at this deal

Moving one bad deal for two in Hinrich and Deng just to get a #17 pick? Have you all seen the money owed to Deng over the next 4 years? This deal SUX for the raps. Seriously would be better off just letting Bosh walk then...

Subsitute your son David Lee for Deng, and you understand why S&T Bosh-Lee make zero sense for toronto.

There is a rumor on the Bulls board regarding Deng to Orlando for Pietrus or Gortat...I'm hoping it is part of a 3,4, or 5 way deal.

Tell me what you think:

Chicago: Bosh
Orlando: Deng
Toronto: Gortat, Pietrus, James Johnson, Bobcat's pick.

or

Chicago: Bosh
Orlando: Deng
Toronto: Okafor, Collison, Bobcat's pick
Dallas: Gortat, Pietrus (who they really wanted)
New Orleans: Dampier (they waive his unguaranteed contract).

My thought is that Gortat at C would allow you to move Barg's to PF. Also, Pietrus provides some outside shooting and D at SG. James Johnson is another youngster that BC had looked at last year.

Edit: if Dallas in involved...Pietrus goes there instead.

I agree with you. You already have your PF and Lee should never ever play C again. S&Trading for DLee at 11mill per for the next 5 years make very little sense for the Raps. But my point had nothing to do with Lee. More the general suckiness of Deng and how funny bulls fans are in thinking that any team wants him. I wouldnt even move Hedo straight up for Deng, but it becomes laugable when you are expected to deal a franchise player AND then take back Kurt HInrichs lowsy contract.

How do you say he wants to be the man in one sentence, then say he only wants to goto teams with Lebron, Rose or Wade? He'd play 2nd man to all that you listed there, just like he would in LA except he'd have the deepest team and best chance for a ring there.

You're right, he'd still be a vagina with lebron and wade, but he'd be 2nd on the pecking order, with many nights to do the Bosh flex and shout.

I can see Bosh worming his way in and wrestle control over the team before Rose fully establishes a massive ego. In LA he'd be the 3rd string quarterback behind kobe and pau.

Since 2010 draft picks can't be included in S&T's, which means we can't trade the #8, how about including Kaman?

I think the Raps would want to go younger. Also, if you break the above trade down, it is really (not worrying about salaries):
Bosh for Kaman
Baron/Min pick for Jack??
Toronto would want more for taking on Baron's horrible contract. Maybe sub Caldy for Jack (though not sure why you would do that)....or take Hedo as you need a SF.

Also, who plays C for you now (Jordan)...because Bosh does not want to play centre.

Does not seem like a good fit.

I like the first one for TO...though I would like to see Asik also included in the deal (maybe take out Johnson)...thus, giving TO 2 centre's that could split minutes. Pietrus would be good if Raps dump Hedo and can show Paul George (if BC is smart enough to get him) the ropes.

I would still do Baron/Kaman for Bosh (S&T)/Hedo

and the Clips would still have plenty of cap space to get a real center.

I'd keep Brewer and Weems out of it, and get Asik back from Chi. Personally I'd also want to deal Jefferson for a lotto pick or young talent--- an Al/Bargs frontcourt is going to be worse defensively than what we have now. Hopefully we can grab George with #13, Bradley with #17.

As strange as it sounds, does Lamar Odom have any part in this. I don't think a deal of Odom+another piece acquired with Vujajic's expiring is out of possibility.

Odom is signed to a very reasonable deal with a third year team option.

Bosh and Calderon to Houston for Brooks N Pieces. You get a young, super speedy 20 point a game point guard, and are able to offload Calderon's contract as well. Surely someone else on Houston would look good on our roster, but Brooks to team with our young guns would be the key piece. Houston gets their all-star in Chris and a highly experienced veteran and quality distributor in Calderon to take Brook's place.

Sure if you're the Bulls.

Hinrich and Calderon are about the same caliber of player (different strengths, different weaknesses but the same level of talent). So in essence what the Bulls get is Bosh for a middling 17th overall pick (which, even though people get overly excited about draft picks, usually turns out to be a end of the bench guy), an unproven middle of the pack player (in Asik) and (after this trade, which more than opens up Lebron to Chicago) a bottom of the barrel 1st rounder in 2011. But...BOY...that TPE...wow. What's that going to do for Toronto exactly? The Raptors wouldn't have enough top tier young talent to use with that TPE to try to land anyone of impact (unless you consider Okafor or Kaman an "impact" player).

If this is the best that the Raptors can get, then, wow...I feel bad for Raptor fans.

How about for Brooks and Battier and whatever else is required to match slaries. Than tryy to pry Perkins from Boston who seem to respect Turk's game and may be willing.

Perkins
Bargnani
Battier
Weems
Brooks

Amir
Derozan
Jack

Nice tough, defensive speedy team and Brooks would add about 20 points a game.
