Man, what a dream it would be to get him here.

Everybody else seems to have one of these so ok, I'm finally giving in... THIS is my 1 in a million hope.

At least you realize it's a one in a million hope. It's not happening, but go ahead and dream :).

Its all about capital. Throw in as many picks as you want. Removing old guys is getting younger do the math its the law of averages.

CP3 would only come here through a 3 team trade, simply because we don't have pieces that they need.

i certainly think we've got the talent to put a package together.

Jameer, Gortat, Pietrus, Bass, TPE could all be combined or sent to a team that could forward something on to NO. i'd imagine NO will be wanting cap space and young players and/or picks. We could make a deal with a team with cap space to send them Gortat or Jameer plus whatever if they're willing to absorb a contract from NO, and/or for a draft pick (teams like Detroit). send the TPE to NO to take back one of their contracts. and finally do the VC for CP3 trade just to keep salaries in check and give NO an expiring.

to be honest, i don't know why NO would trade CP3, as he think he's one of the league's few true cornerstone players, but hey, if they're truly in cost cutting mode and want to rebuild from scratch and for cheap, then we should get in on it.

Here is one trade I came up with: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=29j3kt2

Orlando gives: Gortat/Bass/Pietrus/Carter/(uses)TPE
Orlando gets: Okafor/Posey/CP3

Philly gives: Iggy
Philly gets: Gortat/Pietrus/Bass

NO gives: Okafor/Posey/CP3
NO gets: Carter/Iggy/(Posey)TPE

Cap space and long term talent for NO, solid pieces to build around core of Holiday/Thad/Evans for Philly, and of course Orlando gets CP3.

We'd need to move Nelson still though...

honestly, philly isnt moving iguodala... our insider says collins loves him... theres rumors that we can get the 5th pick in a 3 way.. but we are apparently turning that down.. which i think is crazy because we could land cousins...

jrue(who is a future perennial all star) , turner, thad, speights, and cousins is a sick young squad to build around..

and also they are not looking for backups.. they are stacked at the 3 position, and basically that trade boils down to iggy for gortat when it comes to guys who would get minutes

While Orlando will make a run at Chris Paul, I don't see the Hornets trading Paul and getting a bunch of role players and a former superstar. They don't want to kill off their fanbase in New Orleans.

If they trade paul, it's for a solid young player and first rounders that look like they can amount to something decent.

Makes a lot of sense and would be a very smart move for the future in my opinion depending of course on how much we have to give to get!

I hope it will happen.

Hallelujah. CP3 please come here. I would love him to be paired up with D12. He has a winning mentality as well. Him and Dwight would become the leagues best duo. Otis Smith get it done please!!!!!!!!!!!! I beg you.

This story has some legs according to my sources, this was supposed to be a midseason trade for the Magic but Jameer got hurt which deaded the deal at the time its this reason why Jameer stepped up his game. He and Otis do not have a good relationship right now and it stems from conversation which was held over the phone. Otis asked Jameer if he was willing to give the team 110% this season, in response Jameer put his butt to the phone and let one rip. Otis was not pleased which is why he wants to trade Nelson. The Magic is one of the classiest organization in the league and Otis wants to keep it that way since he felt disrespected by Nelson.

please, these old 'let one rip' stories are getting old. This never happened. Just a few days ago, it was said that Arenas did this too when Otis asked if he was still comfortable in DC. Tomorrow it will be that Boozer does the same thing to Otis.
