Swap of #9 for your #5 Would you do?
AK + #9 for Beno + #5
You guys get the SF you need, and a good PF or C, like Davis, Patterson, Udoh, or Aldrich.
Thoughts?
Would you do it? Would your front office do it? Do you think my Jazz would do it?

We don't need a forward it's probably this teams deepest position. At the very least we certainly need to keep our guards, if we were to make this deal we'd only have two left.

Probably not that one specifically. We're looking to keep Beno around.

I don't think this team is against making a deal to move down, it's just not super interested in trading our starting PG for another backup forward. The AK-47 train passed years ago.

No I wouldn't do that but there is potential for the kings to trade down if Cousins isn't there at 5. I could see the jazz looking to move up to get Monroe because it is far from certain that monroe would be there at 9.

I was actually thinking this could be possible after the trade rumors surfaced. One interesting thing about this is if we did trade for AK47 and drafted Udoh or Whiteside, along with the addition of Daly we'd have the sickest roster of defensive personnel that the Kings have had, well....ever.

nocioni isn't on the roster any more so people are looking for a new way to get more value with out giving much in return.

Yeah, aside from Beno > AK, we'd be eating like 11 mil of salary.

Just for the record, this is were you lost every intelligent Kings fan

Re: Swap of #9 for your #5 Would you do?
Even ignoring the fact that we like Beno now has anyone actually looked up AK's salary next year? It's only SEVENTEEN million. Swapping him for either of our longterm contracts means the Kings just wasted nearly all of their cap space (they'd be down to a level where they'd have about the MLE). And all for what? To dump 2 years of Beno's or Garcia's contract? No f'ing way.

I wouldnt do it but the jazz would have to take both BENO & GARCIA 2 of our long term contract plus the JAZZ would have to give us a future 1st round pick !

As a Jazz fan, I would do what you last suggested. Being, take on both Beno and Garcia and #5. Then give you AK, #9 and a future pick. Then would we have a deal?

^ That's where you're wrong - we don't need another SF.
We have one of the top rookies of last season as our small forward - Omar Caspi was in the top 3 running for rookie of the year for the better part of a full season. And even at that he and Greene are neck n neck for starting Sf position - and now that we got rid of useless-nocioni those 2 will have even more playing time to solidify themselves - tbh I'm looking forward to it
