Where the hell is everyone?

Post#1 » by TNBT » Thu Jun 10, 2010 1:54 pm

I would have thought that a team like the White Sox in a market like Chicago would have a hell of a lot of fans, so where is everyone? It's like a ghost town in here.

The Cubs have the majority of the fan base in Chicago. That's why. Stupid Australian doesn't know these things. :)

I'm here - I think this is the rip van winkle of chicago boards - every thirty days or so someone wakes up and post. I am also guilty of supporting the cubs - I get to a few cubs games every year, but the sox are team I rootfor in the cross town classic.

With that said - its good to see the team winning again. I thought the early season slump was going to bury us but we showing signs of life and finally clawed our past .500. We beat a good team last night and things are rolling again. I do like to hear Ozzie talking about winining the division and that playing .500 is not good enough. I also liked his comments on beckham - hitting .200 is better than .150. We have a lot of season left and I'm feeling optimistic again. Its amazing what stringing a few wins together does for a team.

True - The Next Best Thing

The Sox are playing some awesome baseball.

More people, including myself, should chime in more regularly to discuss this amazing turnaround from mediocrity.

I believe the Sox have went on a 24-5 run to lead the Central Division at the break.

Freaking amazing!

It's good to see that Konero was selected to the All star team .

He deserves it.

What an amazing turn around. It's really hard to believe how well we have played the 30 games especially after stumbling out of the blocks and the big injury to Peavy. First place looks really good. I know the tigers and twins are right on our tail, but I am going to enjoy being first place in the standings for the next few days.

Quentin broke out us that viscous slump with a vengeance.

He is putting up monster numbers now.

Hopefully we can maintain the momentum after the break.

Carlos is on a roll 3 two homer games in his last four. It seems like starting with the pirate series he has been on fire.

White Sox fans do not post on Realgm. We have White Sox specific sites like http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/vbulletin/ and the official MLB White Sox site.

No other Sox fans I know ever come on realgm. Realgm is for basketball/Bulls.

Update - this place is still ghost town.

I'm a white sox fan and look forward to today's game against the Indians.

I thought we were going to have a decent team this year anchord by some good pitching. Well 20 straight scoreless innings are hopfully the low point of this tail spin. We have lost 10 of 11 and have our worst start in a decade. While its still early in the season sitting we are spinning out of control which is good for last place in the central. At least we a still a half a game ahead of the mariners. I'm sure the Yankees are looking to keep our scoreless streak alive. Maybe I'm just a little down after getting swept by the tigers, but I really think we need some kind of spark soon or this could turn into a very long season

Wow maybe we get our spark from humber who goes out and shuts down the yankees and we break out of scoresless streak with a couple of runs. The bullpen actually held on - ots only one game but maybe things can turn around.

Wow back to back wins who would have thought against the yanks. It was another good pitching performance other than two solo shots the yanks were kept in check. Follow that up with a little power from pauly and ten hits and its good for win. Lets keep the streak alive.
