I still think Lou Williams (and other player) will be traded to Memphis for a pick and a second player.

It really sucks the if Sixers feel they need to "experiment" with Jrue, Turner, and Iggy.

Iggy will be harder to move after this year, if not much harder, and then you get less value in an Iggy trade and still don't have an all-star caliber big.

It really sucks that that there are so many Negadelphians when the team has such a good vibe about it. Have you already lost faith in Doug Collins as a coach?

Just to think it was a little under a year ago that people weren't willing to sit through one bad season for a lotto pick and now the board is more active and more excited than any time I can remember in the last 5+ years.

This just in: lotto picks are exciting!

At the end of the summer several teams will be dissapointed because they didn't get an ALL-Star player, it could be the perfet time to trade Andre.

The last time this board had THIS kind of excitement was the week after the Webber trade went down. That burst of energy quickly died as we realized that there was a good reason why we were able to land CWebb for Kenny Thomas and filler.

That was Feb. 23rd, 2005 so yeah... it's been awhile.

Regardless, he's not being moved. Anyone who continues to believe that there's a chance that the Sixers trade Iguodala before the season starts is setting themselves up to join those teams you mentioned as disappointed.

We don't need "passers" or "facilitators" when Turner is here. Because Jrue and Turner, are already good facilitators themselves. We need scorers who can spread the floor for him or better yet a post player down low who can give us an "inside-outside" scoring to give us flexibility with our offense.

Look at how K-Mart and Tyreke Evans didn't mesh well with the Kings. I can see the same problem with the 76ers.

I've been trying not to be so negative about Iggy the last few days but it is really difficult. Your point is so obvious & valid that I just don't understand the rationale of the Iggy promoters. He needs the ball to succeed on offense. If he has the ball, someone who should have the ball won't have it. Simple as that. Why is this team still trying to build around his strengths? For example, do we now need a PG & C who can shoot to make up for his deficiencies? Will we need a PF to slash because he can't/won"t go to the hoop in traffic? Pretty soon we'll be talking about trading Turner for multiple picks because we won't need a SG with ball skills since we have a SF with those skills. The simplest solution is to remove the piece that doesn't fit. That is the wing player with no shot & a bloated salary for a #3 option. Sorry for the rant but this is ridiculous.

I disagree. He'll have one less year for financial commitment, and the team should win more than 27 games next year, boosting everyone's trade value.

Turner is not going to be able to step in right away and play 40+ minutes and score 20+ points. He needs at least a year, which is why keeping Iguodala around makes sense, at least for the short term.

Didn't Iguodala have his best years while playing with Andre Miller? Did I miss something? Didn't Andre Miller control the ball most of the time in a half-court set?

One of the best little tidbits I heard recently was in one of those sideline "live mic" hits with Doc Rivers where he said to his guys "trust the pass"...

That is SO true.

When you have a team of guys who are willing, skilled passers, you MUST "trust the pass". Look at the teams that have been consistently good over the past few years. Boston. San Antonio. Detroit. Los Angeles. They all "trusted the pass". With the team we are putting together, we will be able to put a compliment of 5 guys out there who have average-to-better basketball IQ (we'll have to see about Hawes, but he's a MONSTER upgrade over Sammy in this department...well...actually...this bananna peel next to me on my desk would be an upgrade over Sammy...), all 5 of them are capable and willing passers, and all 5 of them have the ability to score the ball once they are in a favorable matchup/position on the court.

I think that this can be good. REALLY good.

Thank you. Turner isn't going to come in and have a Dwayne Wade like usage anyway.

That is so true. I cannot count the number of times I screamed to Jrue NOT to pass the ball to Dumbert as it was going to be a TO.

Can I ask that the AI9 haters post on another thread, please. I am sick of reading the junk and SF76 has made it clear he is staying. And, for the record, I believe AI9 is going to have a break out year!

Just because someone wants AI9 traded doesn't mean they are haters. Not everyone is DSF. I'm not opposed to trading anyone outside of the Villain and probably Jrue. Doesn't mean i hate everyone on the team, I just want to improve.

Wikiepedia lists it as his nickname so it must be true.

CLASSIC nickname. It was given to him by a walk-on teammate and blogger at OSU.
