I almost threw up. Never thought much of him, thought he was always overrated an a defender, would rather not go down this road.

while I'd rather have miller. I think Raja would be a decent choice but I have'nt really seen him guard alot of PG's. which is something LA will have to adress if farmar and brown leave.

I think Raja Bell would provide us with some solid perimeter defence and more importantly three points shooting. If he still has his stroke and can build some confidence i see him contributing for us. He should be cheaper than shannon also.

Its only a matter of time before the Shaq has interest in Lakers rumors start popping up. What is it with all these guys that Kobe has had some sort of incident with being interested in playing for the Lakers

Ron Ron and the throat
Raja and the closeline
Miller and the elbow

And if Shaq rumors pop up then
Shaq and Kobe Feud

If he signs with the Lakers Kobe can destroy him in practice day in and day out... "What foul?!"

Wow, never thought I would see the day that Raja will put on a Laker uniform. If Kobe likes him and his type of play, I'm all for it. Look what the Lakers did with Artest.

All depends on the money. If it can be done on the cheap, I say do it.

Sign Raja, re-sign Fish & Powell, sign a decent PG, let Shannon & Farmer & Mbenga walk (also draft a crappy center in the second round) and call it an off-season.

BTW, I saw an interesting fan trade thread suggesting the Laker's trade Sasha for Charlie Bell. If the Lakers signed Raja, Lakers could do this trade as the Lakers do need some 3-point shooting off of the bench. Bell is set to make 8M over the next 2 years (4 per year), Sasha just has one more year at about 5M.

Charlie Bell was actually traded to the Warriors today along with Dan Gadzuric for Maggette.

now this is my idea of an off-season. (funny how everyones interested in ring chasing w/ the lake show now)

farmar, brown, morrison etc off the books.
phil and fish both need to return.

-MLE for mike miller.
-LLE (is this the correct term?) for steve blake.
-raja bell? his style of play is what this team could definitely use. lockdown guard that can hit the 3.
-tmac? depth and slashing off the bench, providing he still has what it takes.

I know, that's the point. The Warriors traded away Maggette for garbage. Now Bell is on GS behind both Curry & Monta; Bell is now basically useless. Bell can be gotten for expiring garbage. Not that Sasha is garbage, I actually think Sasha might do well in GS.

He CAN'T defend the likes of D-Will, Paul, Rondo any WORSE than Fisher could. so that's a plus.

I like this move. He will irritate the opponent, and he has killer instinct. If you take out Fish and Kobe, this team lacks killer instinct (despite that we won it all). If Lamar wont provide it for the bench crew, Raja will definitely give it a good shot.

BTW i'm happy to see that the board is slowly realizing that PG is not necessarily our biggest problem.
We need deadly shooters

Do it Mitch!
