Summer 2010 Trade Ideas - Including DUST Trade Ideas
I know it's fun to speculate about ways to get CP3 or Bosh, but reality bites, and that stuff just isn't happening. So I'd like to discuss the deals that we could realistically make and should pull the trigger on. So please throw those ideas on the table.
My most logical deal is Diaw for Hinrich. We get our starting PG, a guy who I think would have great success here, and the Bulls get a versatle 6th man.

I think this one is what will happen.
And they can send off Diaw also if it will help us.

Re: The Most Logical Trades We Can Make
I don't think the Bulls want Diaw. Not much of a need for him, since we'll be getting a primary or secondary scorer and facilitator in FA (hopefully).

You may be right, but consider Diaw's best role in the NBA...6th man. You can find a number of back-up PG's in FA this year to replace Hinrich, and much cheaper. Diaw gives the Bulls a key option to facilitate the offense from either the 3 or the 4 spot. I think he would give your team a different look when coming in for Noah, and could also spot Deng as necessary. Johnson is a dog and might develop one day, but neither he nor Taj are real answers at the reserve 4. If Chicago wants to do anything beyond 1st round you need a Diaw type guy coming off the bench. We can't afford that luxury but you guys can. Can you afford the luxury of keeping Hinrich behind Rose?
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Re: The Most Logical Trades We Can Make
Hinrich is not a luxury. He's both our starting 2 AND our backup 1. It'd be great to move him for a real 2, or perhaps capspace which we'd use to pursue a real 2, but the backup forward spots are of far lesser need than the starting 2 spot.

I also like Diaw for kirk.
As a fallback, If Felton cant be resigned reasonably and we need an alternative, ship Nazr's expiring to Toronto for Jarrett Jack. Bonnell mentioned that Jack's available and I've seen similar reports from other outlets. Jack's certainly no allstar but he compares favorably to Felton and is being paid ~$5.2/yr for the next 3. I prefer him to TJ Ford.

Well, if people want to give their 1st away cheaply, then by all means, we should oblige and help them by taking their picks.

I a zillion percent would make that trade (Nazzy for Jack).
it wouuld be a win/win IMO because not only is Jack going to be cheaper than Felton, I think Jack is a better point guard than Felton.

I like that trade also, especially since a Hinrich for Diaw deal seems less logical to the Bulls fans than I thought, but you'd better be certain Jack's the guy to take you where you want to go. DJ is not a starting 1 in this league. When I think of what we should of had in Lopez....

I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Jack's also the type of big PG that DJ contrasts well with as a change of pace off the bench.

Yup. He also is a better passer and has better court vision than Felton IMO.

Does Jack want less money than Felton does?

^ Jack is already inked to a deal. We would have to trade for him (Nazr's expiring would work). As mentioned previously, he has 3 years left on his contract for an avg of $5.2 mil a year.
