Hmm, I don't know. I'm not really all that high on Maynor. The 18th and 21st would be nice if someone really falls, but I don't know if I personally would do that.

I like getting a young point guard and 2 solid picks later in the draft, but I don't think that Eric Maynor would end up being the answer. Don't get me wrong, he is a really solid point guard, but I'm not sure he will be what we need. Although getting maynor would give us the flexibility to pick up Bledsoe and a big with those picks... Still wish we could figure out a way to get Paul George.

ok we were talking about 10th for 16th and 23rd that really good.

now we could get maynor 18th and 21st for 10th that would be absolutely amazing. Get bledsoe at 18th and larry sanders at 21. thats good man. hope the pacers do that trade.

yea maynor isnt the greatest...but giving up #10 for 18 and 21..and a PG who hasnt quite proven anything/i think has more potential for what he is getting payed...1 cheaper than ford...2 cheaper than resigning watson..with a team option for next two years after

plus they just acquired the #18..so its not like they are giving up something they already had...they must really trying to be going after someone around the #10 range...if this even has legs...i tend to look on WOJO's side a bit more than other writers

I really hope we can pull off several moves, ship out ford, dunleavy and Murphy(Although I really like him and hate when people trash his game) and the 10 pick for some combination of picks & players. First time in a while I've really truly been excited about the Draft and the NBA. Hope we can get a steal with someone like Al Jefferson or something for cheap.

Pull the trigger. Move down in a weak draft for 2 later picks, give minutes to the promising young PG we could have drafted last year, still have the ability to get some solid role/developmental players later in the draft, or use the multiple 1st round picks to negotiate with an expiring for another rotation guy.

If this trade is on the table for the Pacers and Bird isn't pulling the trigger I am going to be pissed. But with Bird being Bird that would also make sense. I think we gotta do this trade. Maynor will never be an all-star pg or a franchise pg, but he will be an upgrade over what we already have, and we can continue our search for that franchise pg with confidence in the one we have.

Exactly, we could take Bledsoe and hope he turns into something with a later round pick, otherwise next year could have quite a few good young pg's. I can understand Bird not jumping on it right away, have to do your due diligence. There seems to be alot of trade options out there, so being able to pull of the best/possibly multiple trades would be awesome. So I can see him waiting to have all the offers in from of him and choosing the best one(s). We all just have to be patient...we've waited this long haha. I just wish we could make the trades, become immediately better(at least more hopefulful) and fire Jim o'brien once bird realizes that we have a team that can compete this year(which we previously hadn't planned on competeting until next offseason)

This just strikes me as way too good to be true. I like Maynor, and to still get the #18 and #23 would be insanely valuable. This is a deep draft for rotational players, but very short on franchise players. We're about 5 picks out of the franchise player area, but even down to #23 is rotational player spot from #6.

Getting Maynor, in addition to something like a Bledsoe and Sanders for an Udoh? That's a no brainer yes to me.

I could see us going after Maynor's teammate Larry Sanders

Draft express has the mock draft like this:

17 Bulls - Larry Sanders
18 Heat - Avery Bradley
19 Celtics - Eric Bledsoe
20 Spurs - Solomon Alabi

If Sanders could fall to 18, I could see Bledsoe or Bradley falling to 21. SA nor Boston has a need at point. They both need bigs.

We could have:
Maynor/Bledsoe/Price
Rush/Jones
Granger/Dunleavy
Hansbrough/Sanders
Hibbert/McRoberts

And we wuld still have Murphy, Foster, Ford, and 2 2nd rounders to play with. We would have to be happy with that.

Larry Bird dont get it. You trade up to get better. Not down. This trade shows why the the Thunder are a team on the rise and why the Pacers suck.

Thanx for sayin it man...i wanted to so bad. I dont see how trading down makes you better either. (i.e. Bayless for Rush trade). Draft Paul George and be done with it. Hopefully Bledsoe will drop to 2nd round if not find a point guard elsewhere

You have to remember though, the Thunder (Sonics) didn't get to be a team on the rise until they traded Ray Allen and Glenn Davis to Boston for Jeff Green, Wally Szczerbiak and Delonte West. They also traded Rashard Lewis for nothing but a 2nd round pick and a trade exception from Orlando.

Our team needs to gather assets, much like that Thunder team did.
