As I've been saying forever, Chad Ford sucks. It's not like he lost credibility with all these BS rumors lately; he never had any credibility.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

So does Jeff Van Gundy, anybody watching the draft special on ESPN?

I'm going to be optimistic and say that this is a smokescreen.

I think that Johnson is the Net's main target because they want to be a better team now and because they think that they can bring in a big name FA PF (Boozer probably).

They're putting this out there now because they saw how hard Kahn is trying to trade Jefferson and get George. They realize that Favors is our target and are trying to steal some value from us.

Man that was brutal by Van Gundy! And I've always liked him too. But no one appreciates that we went from bad to rebuilding. It takes time.

Man, what the hell did they say now? A week just doesn't feel right unless I get my weekly wolves beating.

It was along the lines of "they're a terrible team".

Also, someone thought we should be trading all of our picks to get better, not trading Al, because we are young enough already.

Basically made us out to be losers by saying we are bad, like he didn't even want to talk about us, made it out to be that we don't have a future and we are gonna be bad for awhile, just had that JVG attitude.

I can see why Steve Francis hated him.

It was JB that claimed we "don't need to get younger" and should trade all of our picks. Luckily Bilas called him on it and has thus earnt a permanent footnote in the eventual legendary Kahn era of Minnesota basketball.

What I found really sad was it was meant to be a draft preview but 3 quarters of it ended up being about free agency. Tom Penn did a nice job rehashing what everyone knows on this board, but I seriously didn't care that Lebron could go to Houston or Portland. I wanted to hear more about who Bilas might think were sleepers or who he didn't like. Instead there was 5 minutes of Jones/Vasquez as sleepers and then right back into FA.

Newest from DX:

Nets are speaking out of both sides of their mouths. On one hand comparing Favors to Stromile Swift, on other telling ESPN he's the pick... 5 minutes ago via UberTwitter

The Draftexpress guys seemed to be pretty keyed in with good sources and don't jump at rumors as badly as ESPN or Yahoo, so it's interesting that they still have Wes Johnson at 3 on their latest mock.

Edit:

I'm really thinking this is a game by Thorn. First, they thought that Minnesota was locked in on Johnson, so they leaked that they were going to take to see what kind of offers Minnesota would give them. Then, after they saw that Minnesota would be perfectly happy with Favors, they leaked this latest news to see if Minny would blink.
