The Kings supposedly promised to take Ryan Richard with othe 33 pick. I heard this in the rumor section of draft express

You guys will love Richards if you take him at 33. He is such a intriguing prospect. He has the size and skills of the new NBA big man. That said, please let him fall to the knicks.

So were drafting two big men??
were not gonna pull a Khan move and do what the timberwolves did last year are we?
-- we already have 3 bigs.. and with the draft we'd have 5.. that's gonna be odd rotation!!

And if we bring back Jon Brockman, that makes 6.

And so far we have zero quality starting bigs at this point. Landry, I think we almost all agree is more suited for the 6th man role on a contending team. Dalembert could be a starter, but has a lot of flaws in his game. Thompson right now isn't a quality starter, he could develop into one, but not at this point. Cousins/Monroe will be rookies and we have no idea how they will pan out 5 years down the road. Why not draft another big if Petrie feels he could be a steal of the draft. Who knows, 5 years from now our frontline could easily be Richards/Cousins

Jon Brockman is nothing more than an energy guy that you give minutes here and there. At this point in his career, he should not even be considered in the rotation for a true contending team.

Richards would probably stay overseas for a while

To me, Brockman is the the 2010 kings version of Scott Pollard - Although I think Brockman has more potential then Pollard had. Honestly though I know that GP will surprise us this draft and pick a player or 2 that the majority of us were not even considering. In the end we'll make the choice that is best for our team going into the future.

Yet guys like Big Baby Davis get solid minutes and make a solid contribution on a contender. Brockmans the kind of guy that can turn a game around this his energy. Case in point, 35 point comeback in Chicago.

Re: Ryan Richards at 33?
I heard this yesterday but I don't believe it. Would be a good move though because it would allow the Kings to stash him in Europe and let him grow as a player.

Re: Ryan Richards at 33?
Brockman has the highest offensive rebounding rate despite his limited minutes on court.
If he refines his offense a bit, I could see this guy offering valuable minutes on any team.

That's a good point, Petrie typically drafts the (BPA). I can understand if Petrie believes Richards to be a steal in this seasons draft.. very good point!!

Davis is A LLOOTTT better than Brockman right now, offensively and defensively. Now, I'm not saying Brockman can't eventually develop into a player similar to Davis, I'm saying at this point in his career, we should not be passing on other players because we already have him. I don't think any of our bigs are good enough, to warrant us passing on someone Petrie feels will be a steal. Personally, I feel outside of Tyreke, we don't have anyone else on the roster that is good enough to prevent us from drafting any specific position.
GAHHHH CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Ryan Richards at 33?
Brockmans better than him defensively and especially on the boards. That also just so happens to be the exact thing the Celts needed the most out of him towards the end of the playoffs.
I don't disagree with what you're saying but I do disagree with the idea that Brockman is a "practice player" or anything close to it. He's way better than that. One of the best rebounders per minute in basketball.

Re: Ryan Richards at 33?
Richards to come to U.S.
Despite suggestions otherwise, British center prospect Ryan Richards – a potential target for Sacramento with the 33rd pick – doesn’t want to return overseas next season, a source said. He plans to play in the NBA or D-League.
Adrian Wojnarowski, 12:26 p.m. ET, June 24
I do not like this.. I liked him when we can stash him overseas, but if he came right over he would not play and in his stage of development he needs to play.
I hope we take a guard who can shoot the 3 @ 33
