Paul/West/Okafor for Nash/Barbosa/Richardson would be the only trade that made sense, at least we would be getting some talent back, even though Okafor has an atrocious contract. Yet still, I would never do that.

Forget us even being involved. This is based on if Shinn can't sell the team, they'd look to move him. They wouldn't look to take on a Brandon Roy, LMA, Harris, etc or massive salary with a lot of yrs. Nor would Portland give up their best players in such a deal. Idea is to pair them up. Batum, Bayless, etc would be considered. No trades are ever that way either where it's a blockbuster for a star/superstar.

In the very UNLIKELY event we did attempt, it'd probably be a 3 way to send Nash elsewhere and Dragic, Jrich, whatever to them. They'd want expirings, a cheaper PG with talent or young talent in general in return I would think.

Oh, and if you can acquire a franchise player like Paul or talent like, you do it. Nash doesn't stop you.

It's okay I found a way it could work.
Suns get-
Chris Paul
Emeka Okafor

Hornets get-
Jason Richardson
Marcus Banks
Sasha Vujacic

Raptors get-
Steve Nash

Lakers get-
Jose Calderon

Nash gets to play for his Canadian team. Suns get stuck with Okafor and his contract. Suns trade Barbosa for cap space. Suns sign Joe Johnson. Suns sign Roger Mason.
Paul/Dragic
Johnson/Mason
Hill/Dudley
Okafor/Clark
Lopez/Jones

Suns don't actually do this...

That's the JRich part of it!!! He is good as is Nash, so they both help out the team, contract expires, they sell the team in the next 2 years!

Neither is memphis
 That is why the Lakers win championships.......They ask instead of assume. That got Pau Gasol, two titles, and counting.

The POINT is JMac1... that as much as the Suns have Nash + J.Rich on the table...

Why would Hornets pick that offer over about 15 other offers, which 5-6 are MUCH MUCH better offers.

You use the Grizzlies and Lakers trade... which was an ridiculously in Lakers' favour, and was HUGE shock to everyone else. Its ridiculed as a "favour" from Grizzlies GM to Lakers franchise.... basically it smelt fishy to begin with....
So the likelihood of another trade like that happening to a NON-Laker or BIG market team is remotely "0" percent.

The fact is Paul probably won't get traded, but to assume Nash and JRich isn't adequate is wrong, imo.

Played ball with Mo Pete today. He and his college buddy are looking to buy homes in the valley, so you know what that means...
It means he knows he and Chris Paul are getting traded to the Suns!! Woot woot.

Unless Paul is demanding a trade I don't see why the Hornets would want to trade for Nash. Either way they're going to ship out Collison most likely seeing as with Paul on the team Collison won't get a suitable amount of playing time for him to develop to his full potential.

NO's franchise is on the ropes. With this terrible Gulf mess crippling the economy there, top to bottom, their revenue projections have to look dismal. And that is DISMAL for the next 5 - 10 yrs as there is too much negative oily impact on the entire economic equation.

I can see them trimming down the payroll, selling, and moving the franchise.

thus anything can happen.... except a deal for Nash. There will be far far better ones available. Expect Paul in LA.... thats just the way things seem to F-n go. :sigh:

I wouldn't mind taking on Stojakovic. The guy just needs a competent medical staff.

His 3pt shot is rediculous.

Which makes it all the more ridiculous, angering, and mind-blowing that he absolutely BLEW the most important three point shot in his career.
