That's a pretty horrible comparison since Jackson was never able to play at his potential due to a major back injury. That's like comparing someone to Jay Williams, it makes no sense.

All I know is that if Babbitt is the choice, D WIll is gone and my season tickets will be sold! Udho, Davis or Monroe, one of these players will be there. This is the pick or trade up!!! The only way we pick Babbitt is if we buy or trade for a second first rounder.

And it's rumored that we will trade for another first round pick. I wouldn't be surprised if the Jazz drafted Babbit, but I would be if they used the ninth pick on him. It has been rumored that New Orleans, Memphis, Orlando and Houston are all looking to move some of their first round picks - I wouldn't be surprised if the Jazz made moves for one or even two of those picks so that they can pick up some of the guys they think can help them now and in the long term.

As always though, the key word is 'rumor'.

I'd be very disappointed. Babbitt is a good player from what I've heard, but IMO he's not the BPA, he doesn't fill a need and he doesn't have that much potential. Not sure why the Jazz would draft him.

How many players from schools currently in the WAC are in the NBA right now?

Edit (2x):
Rafer Alston
Paul Millsap
Javale McGee
Ramon Sessions

Any others?

I would add that he's a poor man's Adam Morrison, so yes, I would be a little disappointed if he was drafted by the Jazz.

I think I'd also take a swing on Paul George over Babbit.

George will be at least the sixth best player in this draft (assuming Monroe, Cousins, Wall, Turner, Favors don't bust).

He could be really good offensively, but he seems like a boom/bust player (Depending on whether or not his post game or face-up game translates to the NBA) who's never going to be any good defensively.

I'm starting to drink the Babbit kool-aid. An athletic wing with a deadly shot can never hurt.

Babbitt is best shooter in draft but would rather have Henry because of his defence plus shooting.

I haven't seen a ton of Babbitt, and his offensive game looks extremely smooth and his ability to create shots would be very nice.

However, going along with Soul Patch. This is a big man draft, and conveniently, we need a big man.
