I think this is the right choice, taking into consideration Cousin's choice to not work out for us. With his temperment, I could see him being a major distraction if we were to take him. Talent may be there, but will and interest in being a Timberwolf are not IMO

If you're going to trade Al, and the choice is between Cousins and WJ, Cousins has to be the choice.

If Cousins goes to Sac and we take WJ at 4, Kings > Wolves and I don't see it changing anytime soon.

Whys it matter? If someone trades ahead, they'll just take the other one. What leverage do they lose?

I'll be very disappointed with Wes at #4 hopefully Nets take him so Kahn can't F this up!

My prediction is if we pick Johnson, we're not trading Al.

You can't take Cousins at #4, and say to SAC, "Well, we'll trade you Cousins for Johnson, but you need to kick in a small asset."

It's sort of the cards he was dealt. Lets wait and se if he has anything else up his sleeve though.

Now you get the picture Shrink! That's all we've been telling you from jump street. That's what Kahn did with Rubio. That doesn't work like that -- i.e intensionally picking a player ahead of others to trade to them while looking for sweetners. If I was Kahn, I'd trade that fourth pick and ask for Oden

You know Portland has a say in that as well, right?

I'm kind of disappointed that Kahn didn't play this better. He should have been telling everyone who would listen that Cousins was his guy from day one. At the very least, he might have been able to scare Sacramento (or someone else) into trading up with New Jersey guaranteeing us Favors. :dontknow:

I'll be happy with Johnson as long as we don't trade Al for a bag of chips.
