And if we can still pull off the Murphy for Ellis deal, we will get a jump start towards being ready to contend. We could be on the verge of being a top 3 team at the end of THIS year, as opposed to next year.

Bird's an idiot if he does this. Not only draft a white player but trade for one too. I haven't nothing against white basketball players but we all know the murmerings will suffice again if this happens. Sort of wonder if the rumors are true that Bird wants an all white team.

Of course for now it's just a rumor so I won't jump to conclusions but this would be a bad move IMO.

Not my first choice of trades but, I could live with it. Hinrich is a competent pg, something we don't have. He also fits the Pacer's system. Sounds as though you will get a role player at 10 or 17. With Hinrich at pg and everyone healthy we might be surprised how good the Pacers might be.

I love Hinrich. I think he fits OB's system and 2 years is not too long as we need a mentor for Price and whoever we draft. however, Hinrich makes more than TJ and we need to add someone so that the overall deal dumps a bit of salary. I think that requires a third team to take the filler.

Apparently the Bulls have agreed on a trade that would send Hinrich and the #17 pick to the Wizards. Thank god!
