Fine, let them do it then. I'd love to see the Bulls gut their young talent only in the HOPES of landing two MAX contracts. Even if they get the space, LeBron actually has to AGREE to go there. All things considered, I say both Cleveland and New York are far more attractive destinations. You don't need an MBA to see what a phenomonally bad business decision it would be to leave Cleveland to go to a city and a franchise that is already thoroughly branded all over the globe as Michael Jordan's 6-time world championship franchise.

Two Max spots or not, I can't understand why LeBron would choose Chicago over Cleveland or New York. Makes no sense to me, sorry. Especially when you consider how poorly the Bulls have treated their players and all the bad decisions they've made for the 80% of their history that doesn't include Michael Jordan, both before and after.

I'm with you in theory but I'm not sure it will hold up in practice. We'll find out soon!

Look at it this way, we've had the most cap room for a while and people still counted us out. Now we still have tons of cap room and the Bulls have almost as much (though still not quite as much).

So what did we lose really? People were counting us out before. Now they'll count us out even more.

None of that matters if LeBron REALLY wants NY. We'll find out.

But it's not like we lost anything just now -- everybody was saying we were dead WITH lots of cap room, so what's changed? Now we're the underdogs at least -- less pressure.

We can relax. Let the Bulls fans worry now. They have everything to lose now and a lot to worry about. What if LeBron doesn't trust Reinsdorf? What if Bosh won't go to Chicago?

We still have a good offer. And we have NYC, MSG which speaks for itself. Let's see what comes of it. In the meantime we can relax and let the chips fall where they may while Bulls fans sweat it out with all their cap room.

You say this and yet LeBron wants to play with Chris Paul, who also needs the ball in his hands and be the primary playmaker. Chris Paul doesn't play off-the-ball.

Just cause Rose doesn't fit with LeBron on your little spreadsheets doesn't mean he wouldn't be intrigued by playing with him...and now another max/near-max.

Half the fans that attend games are out-of-towners and tourists coming to see the opposition. We are a week away from the great free agent bonanza and we will be left out in the cold. We'll probably scrape some mediocre fake franchise guy like Joe Johnson and Carlos Boozer but what is that doing to do, really? Nothing.

I will give up on this team in the coming weeks. I've been holding out hope for a while but the end is near. I've been a diehard fan for the past 12 years of my life and I've reached my limit. I'm not going to prepare myself for another decade of losing. I can't handle it anymore. I know people always threaten to quit the Knicks and don't but I'm serious. The Knicks are simply not worth the time and effort anymore. I wont become a bandwagon fan of anyone. I guess I'll just watch random NBA games for my basketball fix. But as far as my Knicks passion goes? It's nearly all gone. And it's a damn shame.

Pathetic. Get gone.

Bulls have no shooting. There are still holes but I have to say this gives them a lot of ways to really build an attractive roster.

We have our work cut out for us.

im sure teams like OKH will take on guys like gibson + future pick

no matter how you look at it, nyk has been overtaken

how have they been overtaken? the knicks have the better coach and the better front office. rose maybe be the best player currently on either team, but noah is SO overrated. i don't care what you tell me. plus he's ugly as hell.

rose, noah, 2 max spots (believe me, they';ll get there) > anything we have

nyk thought they were sitting pretty for july 1, only to get circles run around them now by CHI and Mia (clearing space for a 3rd space)

Will be interesting if Chicago has to trade Noah now to get 2 max FA. I would take Noah if they just want to dump his salary. Trade our 2 2nd rounders for Noah.

Unless Deng or Lebron plan on playing SG they still have holes in their lineup. Maybe the Joe Johnson rumor is true.

I'm not even sure Okafor/Collision can match up with what Chicago can offer LeBron now, but Donnie needs to make a move before July 1st.

Guys, please. You're embarrassing yourselves.

We've been underdogs before. The Knicks FO has been really quiet as of late...We still need to have SOME faith in our people at the Garden.

STFU. YOU'RE pathetic.

Fair weather is leaving during the Isiah. I stuck to that even though I hated everything about Isiah since 2006. I stuck through Layden. I stuck through before that when the title team was dismantled. I'm a young guy. All I've experienced is losing. At least the older crowd has seen the Knicks get close in the playoffs. All I've seen is one Finals run when I was 11 followed by a bunch of terrible seasons. I am so passionate about the Knicks that it ruins my day, my week, my month, my year. I get sick over them. When they mess up it upsets me a lot. It's not good to be depressed all the time, especially over your team. You can call me fair weather but you know nothing about me. I root hard for my Knicks. Harder than your ass for sure. Blood, sweat and tears. But it's not worth my health anymore.
