So now Miami is on the verge of 3 max FA slots, CHicago on the verge of having 2, and we have 2.

That is 7 max FA slots between only 3 players actually deserving of the max slot (wade, bosh, lbj). You know David Lee, Joe Johnson, Amare, Boozer, Gay, etc... are all jumping for joy now. There is just too much cap space between the 3 main teams for everyone not to get overpaid.

This is really funny

I had no idea so many people believe they can predict the future

There are so many factors and elements here

The truth is that we have NO IDEA what is going to happen

We don't know if this deal will go through
We don't know what other deals will go through
We don't know what Donnie will do
We don't know what LeBron will do
We don't know what Bosh will do
Etc.

what...... the..... gosh-darn.

how is this happening?!? washington has rifleman making $22mil in 2014, they're drafting wall with the #1 pick, and yet they see it a good move to take on kirk hinrichs inflated contract and help put chicago in position to be an EC powerhouse for the next decade?

it's becoming very obvious... god hates us.

at least if we lose out on lebron all the bangwagon fans would leave. Seriously, who gives a crap what chicago does. NY has room for 2 max players. If the worst happens and bosh and lebron go there, then there are about 10 other players we can get to play for us. We have 38 million to trade with. We have gallo and chandler and td. We can trade for players, sign players, and buy draft picks. There is no way he are not a playoff team. How deep we go is the only problem. Look at all the players available in FA or trade.

And don't forget. If Lebron signs with the Bulls, Noah will have to put up with Lebron's dancing antics for all of training camp, preseason, 82 regular season games, and postseason, possibly off the basketball court as well!

We've been underdogs and sub-par for so long that this is just one more rock on a pile of gut shots.

Its surprising to me that so many around here are losing their cool. Aren't we used to disappointment yet?

Lol @ people on this board.

Anyway, I don't get it. How can the Bulls trade the 17th pick if the deal can't be offical until July 8th? Will the Bulls draft what player the Kings want? What if the trade falls through after that? The Heat's trade of their 18th pick (I believe) and Cook for the 32nd pick was real shady too.

Maybe the Knicks really aren't in the picture, and doing a panic move of trading Chandler would be beyond stupid, especially if the Heat, Bulls, or Clippers may have a higher chances at getting the LeBron/Bosh free agent combo.

I stated if Walsh doesn't end up with both James and Bosh then the McGrady trade was the worst one of the 2009-10 season. (Had it in my sig, but had to make room for the late first/early second 2010 draft prospects I like. )

Really. The game's not even begun, and these guys are throwing in the towel. I didn't support the two FA thing, and I'm not throwing in the towel.

Pathetic. Get gone.

We don't fair-weather fans like this.

STFU. YOU'RE pathetic.

Fair weather is leaving during the Isiah. I stuck to that even though I hated everything about Isiah since 2006. I stuck through Layden. I stuck through before that when the title team was dismantled. I'm a young guy. All I've experienced is losing. At least the older crowd has seen the Knicks get close in the playoffs. All I've seen is one Finals run when I was 11 followed by a bunch of terrible seasons. I am so passionate about the Knicks that it ruins my day, my week, my month, my year. I get sick over them. When they mess up it upsets me a lot. It's not good to be depressed all the time, especially over your team. You can call me fair weather but you know nothing about me. I root hard for my Knicks. Harder than your ass for sure. Blood, sweat and tears. But it's not worth my health anymore.

Calm yourselves down guys.

The news is big for Chicago but it doesn't guarantee anything. Wait it out and take a deep breath.

Cut out the name calling.

Look, all we can do is wait and hope for the best. We don't what Donnie and the FAs know and what they're thinking. Let everything play out. And whoever doesn't come here can go **** themselves.

Why would the Wizards do this tho? Wall/GIlbert/Hinrich??

No disappointment yet, homey. They don't got Lebron yet, do they?
