I wonder if Miami follows this up with Beasley for filler. Maybe to Phoenix to free up space for three maxes.

I need to take a couple of days off from this stuff. I ride and die with the Knicks and it feels like I'm doing both at the same time these days. I'm gonna unplug this weekend and not think about this stuff. Hopefully when I come back, I'll see some good news. Lol

I'm heartbroken and absolutely crushed. Not much else to say.

And I can't believe Ernie Grunfield was the one who put the dagger in us after all what this franchise has done for that fool. I know it's a business, but this really isn't even that good of a trade that he HAD to make.

Absolutely. Take a deep breathe, and try to remember that everyone here is a Knick fan.

Half the fans that attend games are out-of-towners and tourists coming to see the opposition. We are a week away from the great free agent bonanza and we will be left out in the cold. We'll probably scrape some mediocre fake franchise guy like Joe Johnson and Carlos Boozer but what is that doing to do, really? Nothing.

I will give up on this team in the coming weeks. I've been holding out hope for a while but the end is near. I've been a diehard fan for the past 12 years of my life and I've reached my limit. I'm not going to prepare myself for another decade of losing. I can't handle it anymore. I know people always threaten to quit the Knicks and don't but I'm serious. The Knicks are simply not worth the time and effort anymore. I wont become a bandwagon fan of anyone. I guess I'll just watch random NBA games for my basketball fix. But as far as my Knicks passion goes? It's nearly all gone. And it's a damn shame.

Pathetic. Get gone.

We don't fair-weather fans like this.

STFU. YOU'RE pathetic.

Fair weather is leaving during the Isiah. I stuck to that even though I hated everything about Isiah since 2006. I stuck through Layden. I stuck through before that when the title team was dismantled. I'm a young guy. All I've experienced is losing. At least the older crowd has seen the Knicks get close in the playoffs. All I've seen is one Finals run when I was 11 followed by a bunch of terrible seasons. I am so passionate about the Knicks that it ruins my day, my week, my month, my year. I get sick over them. When they mess up it upsets me a lot. It's not good to be depressed all the time, especially over your team. You can call me fair weather but you know nothing about me. I root hard for my Knicks. Harder than your ass for sure. Blood, sweat and tears. But it's not worth my health anymore.

I agree. Many Knick fans have battered wives syndrome, the team continues to do wrong by us, treating us fans bad and we just continue to stick by them with blind faith. There has to be a point where enough is enough and it's time to leave. I get extremely despressed over the team too and yes it really does ruin my day because I only have 2 hobbies, boxing and basketball. So when one of them sucks thats 50% of my fun gone. Just do what I did and continue to be a Knick fan but choose a "sister team" to root for in the meantime. I love basketball and the NBA in general too much to do anything less, i cant just stop watching period.

Really. The game's not even begun, and these guys are throwing in the towel. I didn't support the two FA thing, and I'm not throwing in the towel.

I ain't throwin in the towel, no pun intended, but anyone who thinks we can stand pat now until July 1st and still have a shot at LeBron is fooling themselves. Or this sentiment that "if LeBron doesn't want NY, then f&%^ him." LeBron wants to win, and barring any further moves from us, that choice is now clearly Chicago. We already bit the bullet when we gave up 2 picks and Hill for cap space. To quit now and not try and make the roster even more attractive is pretty defeatist.

Am I the only person who thinks Chicago is a thoroughly unattractive destination for LeBron James? From Jerry Reinsdorf to Derrick Rose to MJ's Shadow to proximity to Ohio, that organization gives LBJ a thousand reasons not to sign. Personally, I don't think it matters much that they've just cleared enough cap to sign an additional second-teir player.

The fact that an internet chat board is panicking MEANS ZERO in reality. Zilch. LeBron still has a decision to make. You should realize his people were already prepared for this scenario? Chicago clear enough room to sign Jesus Christ, and it doesn't change the fact that LeBron actually has to want to sign there.

All this changes is the expectations of local fans. Give them a couple days to process this, and it won't seem so bad. The important thing here is that LeBron has a choice to make. He hasn't made it and nobody but LeBron knows how that choice will be made. Relax, people. Kurt Hinrich going to the Wizards doesn't change the fact that he Knicks have a very convincing pitch.

This doesn't change the fact that they can't afford 2 max guys or that Lebron can't play with Rose.

Do people relize Lebron's as PG and chicago's 2nd guy for him is a PG? This only affects us if Lebron stays and they beat us out for Bosh and/or JJ

Well as a Rockets fan, I kind of hope this is legit. More options = the possibility of our picks being better. I honestly don't see why Lebron would choose NY over Chicago if winning is his main priority, assuming this deal is legit and they can now get two max guys just like y'all. They simply have more pieces in place to contend immediately. But my thinking has always been that if LeBron chooses NY then the city and spotlight would be the priority over winning, since you guys wouldn't be an immediate contender with him. So who knows.

But it seems like NY, Mia and Chi can all afford 2 max guys. Someone is gonna strike out. This should be a fun summer.

I know, I was responding more to people who think this:

Look, all we can do is wait and hope for the best. We don't what Donnie and the FAs know and what they're thinking. Let everything play out. And whoever doesn't come here can go **** themselves.

We've come this far, there's no reason to not go the extra mile.

I wouldn't be making that argument here if I were you. Methinks it will not be well received.

I think this only gets done if they trade Arenas for Carter.

Chicago can't afford 2 maxes they have 30 million. You need 32.4 million to afford 2 maxes.
