Danny Granger?

Post#1 » by ClevelandRocks8 » Thu Jun 24, 2010 9:38 pm

Pacers and Nets discussing trade to send package including Danny Granger and 10th pick for Devin Harris, Yi and No. 3 pick, sources tell Y!

The Pacers would trade up to third spot to draft Derrick Favors. No deal imminent, and source says Nets interest is "lukewarm" on it.

New Jersey has gotten a steady stream of offers for the third pick on Thursday, with teams trying to get a hold of Favors, sources said.

I personally was never a big fan of the deal, but some people were.

Also, I know it was just a rumor (and shot down pretty quickly by NOH), but to go from Devin/3 for Paul to Granger and 10 is pretty darn tough to swallow. Nothing against Granger.

It wasn't shot down quickly. Thorn didn't want to take on Okafor.

I hate this deal.

I don't like Devin as a player. But he is in the same level of Granger.

See, I am thinking if it really was...hey....you cna have Paul if you take Okafor...then Rod would be litterally tryting to jettison whatever heas to go to get to 16.8 mil and take Okafor.

Either it wasnt that close to being done...or there is more to it.

The onbly good thing about some heavier rumors and offers being made...is it starts getting movement. Once dance cards start filling up...people are left without partners. So if NO is striking out on hos to save cash...and the team sale is in trouble...the offer starts looking better....maybe we get something to pop.

Just have to be patient and hope for some good news here.

this deal has to be done, granger is ten times the player harris is, he is a top 10 player in the nba. and we only drop down 7 picks, we can pick up another pf later on such as cole aldrich

I'm trying to think which is crazier, calling Granger a top 10 player in the NBA or Cole Aldrich a PF?

I wouldn't do this. Granger is a good player, but he doesn't draw fouls or create for others. He's a good scorer that won't give you much else, he won't leads this team anywhere but mediocrity. I'd rather take the gamble on Favors.

Well yea, if you put it in that context, but Granger is a damn damn good player. If the Hornets would agree to that deal they would be idiots.

No way Thorn pulls this trade unless he has another trade up his sleeve to bring us a point guard...

I know everyone is going to flame me for this one, but, eh, whatever...

Granger is very, very close to the same level as Melo.

That's right. I said it.

Im getting this feeling that since a lot of teams are trying to acquire the Pacers 10th pick as well, Thorn might revisit one of the rumors with the Thunder of Eric Maynor, 18th and 21st pick.

I dont think i like this trade but i want to see if there's more to this first before i jump on it. I dont think nobody's sure about the full details on this rumor.
