Granger Trade

Post#1 » by Crossova21 » Thu Jun 24, 2010 9:33 pm

Just heard on 1070 the Fan that there's a potential trade of Granger and #10 for Devin Harris, Yi, and #3. Don't know if there's any truth to it or not.

Wojo reported it on twitter that's the source and I cannot believe the Pacers are actually considering this trade. Yi is a terrible fit here. Favors? Seriously? It's basically Devin Harris for Granger and the 10.

Terrible.

That would be a very good deal for you guys.

Favors and Harris along with Hibbert and Rush could upstart this team and can give you guys a quick and much-needed rebuild. Let's be honest. Granger wasn't taking this team anywhere as the focal point.

Couldn't disagree more. Favors is not going to produce much year one, and who knows what happens year two on.

What makes Harris/Favors so much more valuable than an already bigtime fan favorite in Granger/and #10?

Granger plays no defense. I think it's a good deal for Indy

I lvoe Granger, but I think Harris would be a better player for this team. When healthy (big concern) he is a better defender than we have had at the 1 in a long time. He can score, pass and would be a solid fit in our offense.

Granger is a great shooter / scorer, but To win in the NBA you have to be able to be your defender off the dribble and get to the line or create for others. Granger isn't that person...he need to be the side dish, not the main course.

I would also be thrilled to get the #3 and draft Turner if he falls, otherwise look to trade back a few slots if available.

I think it would be a little more interesting for the Pacers if it was Terrence Williams rather than Yi.

Granger is actually a pretty good defender. Not great but definitely above average. This would be an absolute horrible deal for the pacers. Danny is the one guy that Indiana fans care to see and this trade would mean another year of an empty feildhouse. I think Favors is going to be great and I would love to have him next to someone like Granger but I just don't in any way like the idea of trading Danny. Hopefully this does not happen

I hope we don't trade Granger. He is the face of the franchise and a proven star. If we did this trade Favors would have to turn out awesome and I don't want to take that risk. To be a elite team you need a wing player that can score at the end of the game. Who's going to do that with Danny gone? No one.

Don't do this deal.

As a Bulls fan, do it. You would get Devin Harris a legit PG and Derrick Favors.

Harris
Rush
Dunleavy
Favors
Hibbert

...thats much better than:

Ford
Rush
Granger | Hayward
Hansbrough
Hibbert

Reports out of NJ is that this is just one of many trades the Nets have been offered as teams try and trade up for Favors.

I think it's interesting though that just as you guys don't want this trade to go down neither do us Nets fans !

I can't see Yi in Indiana after he raised such a stink about Milwakee! If I'm trading Granger it's got to be a slam dunk deal. Harris has shown some good, and the #3 pick is good but if its not Turner at 3 no one else impresses me that much, I like Udoh and Monroe, Udoh will be there at 10 so I say we keep danny, take Udoh and look elsewhere for a PG.

If we did this deal, we keep the #10 and take Johnson at #3 and Udoh at #10.

Return to Indiana Pacers
