2012 First Round Pick (Protected top 12 for 5 years)

Cleveland is looking to stockpile draft picks. None of the players we are trading featured in our future plans. We don't mind giving up expiring contracts. The value has to be found somewhere in them. We don't expect N.O to be in the top 12 in 2012

we accept

cut some salary and shore up our bigs

The Orlando Magic and Golden State Warriors have agreed to the following

Orlando will send:

Trevor Ariza - 6,322,320
Boris Diaw - 9,000,000
JJ Barea - 1,815,000
Total: 17,137,320 x 1.25 = 21,421,650

for

Michael Redd - 18,300,000
CJ Watson - 2,000,000

Total: 20,300,000

We're excited to add Watson back to our team and cut some salary in the process. We think Redd will bring the veteran leadership that we need for our young guys. We accept.

LAC and CLE have a trade to announce.

LAC outgoing:
Will Bynum - $2,000,000
2013 1st

CLE outgoing:
Kyle Lowry - $2,080,000

We get a great defender and rebounder at his position in Lowry, and felt that Lowry's youth (only 23) was worth giving up the pick for.

LAC and CLE are following up with a second trade.

LAC outgoing:
Troy Murphy - $11,968,253
Ryan Hollins - $2,183,333
Joey Graham - $900,000

CLE outgoing:
Jeff Foster-$6,655,000
Jason Maxiell-$5,000,000
James Posey-$6,478,600

We finally shore up our bench, at the cost of long term salary. We really like the defense, toughness and experience that we get in this trade.

On a side note..

ED DAVIS!!!!!

Cleveland Cavaliers Accept the above trade. 11.968 million in expiring contracts in expirings is definitely exciting for us.

Nets have reached a buyout with Eddy Curry right before his arrest warrant was issued today. Waiving Kuzminkas and Peidori too to cut our roster to 15.

Accept. We get 3 solid players on a last minute deal and hope to benefit from the nice depth we worked hard for.
