Panic is right - Bird would be ran out of town - simply idiotic....granger proven all-star for derrick favors a 2nd or 3rd tier prospect and a broken down half of the time pt guard.

any thoughts on the granger rumor

Thursday June 24, 2010 6:40
6:41 Was told it doesn't look like the deal is going happen. It's a better deal for the Pacers than New Jersey. Nets wouldn't have a point guard.

Thats what mike wells said in his live chat jsut now

Thank god for that. I just got to work and had a massive WTF OMG YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING!?! type reaction. Fortunately I had finished my coffee or it would have ended up all over the keyboard.

If this trade actually happened, that means our late season winning streak would have cost us Granger. If we just lose the games we're suppose to lose, we could've had Jennings and Favors. Thank God for late season meaningless winning streaks.

please no... trying to win now does not mean trade your best player... especially for players from team who lost so very prolifically.

Fail.

Granger's actually a great defender, and right now, even while focusing 90% of his effort on offense, is still an above average defender.

If we add an offensive player next to him like a Ben Gordon or Monta Ellis, then Granger would likely revert back to being a potential All-Defensive team player.

Hell, Artest in his prime was announcing constantly that his then-teammate Danny Granger was the better player, both offensively and defensively.

Danny Granger plays no defense, LOL... I'm crying right now.

I'll grant you that this past year was a down year for him, but Granger that last couple seasons before this last one was the ONLY PERSON IN THE NBA to average 1 steal, 1 block, and 2 3pts per game. I know 3pts are part of defense, but that shows you the kind of all-around player this guy is. He can expand defenses as well as play good defense.

Some people say stats dont really tell the tale....I'll kindly disagree.

Thank you Allah, Granger is still in Indy. Have you ever seen LeBron successfully drive to the rim on Danny. No. Granger strips the ball every time. Watch Pacers games and tell me Granger can't play D.
