All posts on this say...NJ is lukewarm. So? If its true at all..sounds like we were made the offer following the news of CP3 not happening for the same package.

To me..this could validate the value of what we have to offer, or its a smokescreen...possibly by us.

Cant believe all rumors. Espcially not today.

The question is what smaller assets (ie: Lee, TWill, picks 27 and 31) were in the declined Okafor deal. Assuming more cap space needs to be created you need some asset(s) to create the room.

We broke all this down already a couple of pages back and in the CP3 thread.

We can get there...it is possible.

From what I'm reading this is just one of the many trades the Nets are being offered as teams try and trade up for Favors.

No fax came through...something along those lines. its all a blur in my head now. Too much reading.

Not what I meant. I mean, later on...pre-arranged kind of deal that can only be done after July 1st.

Link to what is likely the last update of my mock before the draft officially starts...

I usually do a second round, at least the last day or two before the draft, but with all the rumors swirling today with us and others I never got around to it. :(

Dick Vitale says we are going to make a HUGE mistake if we dont draft Cousins and that he literally has the skills to be a stud in the league and that he's to good not to roll the dice on...Thoughts???

I'd rather roll the dice on a player that doesn't play center.

Nothing against Cousins, but Dickie V is friggin' annoying.

Dick Vitale also said it was a huge mistake for the Magic to not take Emeka Okafor. Yeah, how did that work out for the Magic?

Terrible.
They can't even make it to the Finals and their payroll is incredibly high.

Dicky V said that? Well, then I am convicned to do the OPPOSITE. Love Dicky V in a nostalgix kind of way...but when he talks draft5 he has only one angle. Best NCAA guys make the best pros. For years he ripped anyone taking HS picks over College players...example...Lebron being taken over Melo. He has predcited every big name college guy froma big program who got great coverage in college was the cant miss. Shane Battier, Hansbrough, Laettner...are just a few of the many.

He could be great. But at 3...take Favors. If we traded down and Cousins was there...I would roll the dice.

In the last 15 drafts a Top 5 pick was traded 10 times (more on this in a bit)...

I love Woj, he still reps the Nets.

Nets are working on several trade scenarios with Yi Jianlian, but he'll likely have to be a part of a bigger package to move, sources say.

Rumor on the Trade Board that came from either Miami or Chicago sports radio is Beasley was just traded to Minnesota for Gomes, who is only guaranteed $1 million...

The Granger deal is dead. It was Granger for the 3rd pick straight up. The Pacers didn't want to take back Harris, so the deal would have been into our cap space directly.

I know what I'm about to say might sound weird, but Derrick Favors looks like a player the Antlanta Hawks would draft...
