I've just figured out the song I am going to post as theme music for us for tonight's draft!

I am all for draft rebuilding if it doesnt work out...but you have to try and clear space if we cant get Cp3. Have to give it a shot.

Give it a shot sure, but I'm not sure if we should be looking to do Jordan Hill type deals to clear cap space at this point, not with these odds.

No. not gibing up lottery pick to send away guys who are coming off the cap in a year. But if it costs the late first...or some of the many 2nd rounders we have...fine.

Also we have more desirable players to dump. In theory..cost should be less than what will ammount to three lottery pick just to get rid of Jeffries a year early.

Enetric, something IS up.

Nets are working on several trade scenarios with Yi Jianlian, but he'll likely have to be a part of a bigger package to move, sources say.

I'm telling you...its sniffing like we're getting Paul.

That sounds like we are trying to shed Yi's salary, but will have to give up something else for a team to take it.

Not encouraging at all.

Maybe I'm jaded, but I don't know if it's necessarily a Paul or superstar blockbuster deal. Considering the amount you need to cut to afford a 2nd max player, it doesn't really make much sense to dump Yi without a deal in place to clear the other 3-4 mil needed (Humphries).

CP3 to Orlando.

They'll take on contracts instead of instant cap relief other teams can provide? Come on...

What I don't get is what could Otis Smith possibly offer that other team who takes on Okafor?

Smith: "Hey, can you take on Okafor for us?"

Other GM: "...why can't we just take on CP3 for ourselves, if we're already going to get Okafor?"

Smith: "Who's the mastermind here, me or you?"

I said it in the draft thread. But...you have to figure if moving Okafor was that easy...Rod would have found it already, no?

Why would you take Jameer and VC over Devin and the #3 overall pick????
