Faroq looks pissed

Al didn't look happy to be a Clipper.
I wanted Hayward!

That's just his look. He knew he was going to be a Clip. Already had his living arrangements set up in Marina Del Rey.

What's up w/ his speaking ability?
Is he a shy guy? He wasn't very articulate in his interview w/ Mark Jackson: that scared me.
I hope that I am over re-acting.
He was my 2nd choice behind Hayward, even though I think Utah fits Hayward better than the Clips.
Was there someone we should of got instead, Koralev images are coming back to haunt me

You didn't like hearing that he's going to be playing with a bunch of smart dudes? Interviews are not his strong point, which has been the case for our last few draft picks. He'll just have to learn to become more comfortable.

Definitely not Korolev. That guy couldn't do anything. AFA has the length, athleticism, rebounding ability and defense that we will appreciate. His shot is a work in progress, but the guy has a lot of upside at age 19.

He's an athletic SF that plays like a PF. Questionable motor, only 6 8, has no move to the left. Why? Why not trade down if this is your pick? Not a shooter, not a scorer, but good around the basket.

Clippers love to collect SF for some reason, it must be D Sterling's thing because it doesn't matter whos the gm or whos on the board, lets get another SF.

I wish D Sterling would just sell the damn team, I'm tired of people picking on the Clippers, but it's hard when bad choices continue to be made.

We've drafted 2 SF's in the last 10 years. One of them was Korolev :nonono:

We didn't have a SF a few hours ago.

You know the history of the Clippers, cmon now mwest they LOVE SF's, they filed a need rather than take the best player available with a player they could have got much later. The Butler kid would have been a better choice.

We're gunna sign a really good SF through free agency to be our starter. But AMinu isnt a bad pick IMO. He has potential and at the same time can contribute and be our sixth man. Wishing for him to be a superstar might be pushing it. I just want him to belike what Darius Miles gave the Clippers, which was excitement, hustle and energy off the bench

Hayward would have been a SF/need as well. I think he can do very well in Utah, although a reach. He could have been a decent pick for us under different circumstances. I wouldn't say that they could have gotten Aminu much later, because he was a top 10 talent. We (the fans) thought we could trade down and get the players that we were targeting and then some, but they ended up going 9, 10, 12 & 16). He may not be the perfect fit at the present moment, but he made sense where we were. The other players that we would/could have chosen all have their questions marks and flags. Aminu has great size, adds, defense and rebounding to the squad. He has excellent length, and these are things that we have been lacking. Our SF's have sucked at cleaning up the boards. Aminu led the ACC in rebounding. He just needs to improve his shot.

I totally understand. It was bittersweet for me seeing us pass on him and him going to spots later. I love his potential and think he can be a very nice player in this league if he applies himself. I'm not at all upset with our draft though. Olshey did a very nice job on his first try imo.

Aminu does have some strengths and weaknesses, will be a good bench player, is only 19, will be under contract for a while for the clippers. Hopefully will develop a jumper, and play strong D. Cant really make a strong opinion right now since the Clippers squad is still in development. Will be a nice SF off the bench, even PF at times.

Personally would of traded down to get another pick, money, or vet player, and still of gotten Hayward, Babbitt, George, or even Aminu. To me there all basically the same, they all have there strengths and weakness. Plus I so love shooters, heck give me Babbitt in NBA 2k11 over Aminu's rebounding anyday, ha ha.

Just really glad that #8 for #17 and Deng was just a rumor. That would of really been a typical Clipper thing to do.

I like the pick and think he's a great fit for the Clippers.

In terms of his personality, that's just how he is and is easily the most uncomfortable interview I've ever conducted. I don't see that changing anytime in the future, but hopefully he gains confidence on the floor at the very least.

AFA probably won't be solid starter, however I think he will be a dependable bench player behind Griffin and our starting SF.
He is also known for being a good defender which is big upside.
I don't really think this draft had a lot of talent anyway.
If AFA averages 13-14ppg that would be really good as I expect him to be defensive stopper to top SFs.

They just need to re-sign Butler or Novak on the cheap
