How good is it to be the Kings right now!?

If things go as "planned" and we will take Johnson at 4, the Kings will possibly get a franchise bigman to just fall into their laps. They already got a franchise guard in Tyreke Evans and now if Cousins pans out at all, Evans has his running mate. If I was Sac, I would be GIDDY, the future looks bright and their fans know they got nowhere to go but up. With all of our rumored trades, it looks like we may be taking some more sidesteps or stepping back altogether.

ohhh I thought you were going to say because they are in position where nobody will give them crap for their pick. Cousins is a potential star center, Wes would fit well with Tyreke, and Monroe is not a bad consolation prize. They can just sit back and take whatever.

Khan on the other hand, no matter what he does, is going to be made fun of and crapped on all night.

Well ... sometimes you gotta just get lucky, and being in the right place at the right time is lucky. If we've done our homework as Wolves management swears they've done, we should be just fine.

I think you totally underestimate the luck the Kings have. If Cousins falls to the Kings at 5 he's getting hit by an asteroid on his way back to the hotel.

I, for one, don't expect Cousins to be there at 5. If I'm Kahn, I take Cousins and then deal him. The 3 teams drafting behind you desperately want Cousins. I'm sure the Kings, Warriors, or Pistons would give the Wolves something valuable to secure him (along with their pick).

Eh, I'll wait before I call Cousins a franchise player. For a guy that barely played 20 minutes a game in college he gets a LOT of praise.
