Damion James will go to the Nets in a trade, league source says.

That said, he's a power forward with small forward height and length.

When you're talking about the #24 pick, can't ask for much more than that.

I know the bust potential is high, but with his height/shot-blocking skill, you have to take Whiteside if he's there at 27 don't you?

He's one of the only bigger names in the draft that I have basically never seen play.

Do not trade the kid unless a legit star is coming back Rod...

nice...I'm excited...no baggage, no jedi mind tricks and no weight issues...

This kid might be mellow, less talkin and more ballin...so that laid back mentality, could end up being a snake bite from the PF position...love his work ethic, and that jumper looks pretty damn smooth...very happy...

I called this one on both sites. NJ's FO would find a way to botch up both these late picks royally.
I wonder what we gave up?

Gave up both picks. We're done.

Nets struck a deal to get the Hawks pick at No. 24, and grab Texas forward Damion James. Hawks get Nets' picks at 27 and 31, source says.

I would have preferred Crawford...but I'll admit I know close to nothing about these late picks.

I'm surprised Whiteside's still on the board...his stock dropped quick. Orton too.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
