If Chi trades away contracts of Deng and Hinrich, i don't see how LeBron and Bosh can resist joining Rose and Noah.

this guy is such an ultra kuntbag. being a fan is understandable, you're a human. but having an agenda and letting your bias show through in your published work, time and time again, shows a complete lack of journalistic integrity. im sorry but this is something you are supposed to learn when you take high school journalism. it's not that hard. professionalism and objectivity is dead i guess.

Exactly. He wouldn't. The guy should replace his teeth and find a new job while he's at it.

Just wow. It took us two years to clear enough cap space to be able to sign two max and CHI does it over night, just before July 1st, with a better record. CHI still needs to shed another ~2mil to be able to sign two max, which shouldn't be too hard...

Don't call it a success just yet. In one week we will all find out if it truly was a success or not.

It's actually 3 mill lol. And still, it might not be that easy. I don't think our luck could be that bad to have that happen to us lol. It's been real bad today

Wow...400+ posts...impressive. Here's my 2 cents...

Huge move by the Bulls, a move I think we can all agree they needed to make to be "players" for LeBron AND possibly Bosh. I know Bull fans felt Rose was that "2nd star" that LeBron could play with, well this potential trade laid that fantasy to rest. Rose is an excellent young player, but he's not at the level of Bosh or Wade, at least in LeBron's eyes.

Chicago still can't sign two max free agents, though they're getting mighty close. What it will come down to, a stance I have stood by the whole way through, is whether or not LeBron/Bosh want NY. If they want NY, what the Bulls do is irrelevant. Miami clearing their entire roster is irrelevant as well if Bosh/James have no desire to play for the Heat. Same with the Bulls. Now obviously there will be other big time free agents available, so this move isn't LeBron or bust for the Bulls, but it far from guarantees anything, but it does give Chicago a strong asset in a portion of a Trade Exception they can now send in a S&T, along with Gibson for Bosh, which again, would only be possible if Bosh wants to be a Bull.

I mean, that's what it comes down to folks. What do these guys want? Where do they want to play? Where do they want to build their legacies. If it was never NY, then it was never going to happen regardless of what other teams do or don't do. They wouldn't sacrifice their prime and most important years playing somewhere they never wanted to play just because we had the money to throw at them, especially when there are other teams capable of paying them.

So what this trade did was make Chicago a "real player" and they have a "shot" at a Bosh/James combo. More moves need to be made on their part, but they're one step closer, my hat is off to Paxson for finding one of the most unlikely takers for Hinrich.

Now here's to DW, getting Bron/Bosh to make verbal commitments b/w July 1st and July 7th :) . I still love our position and have confidence in Walsh's plan and what we can offer LJ/CB4 if they want to be in NY.

Regardless if whether it's 2 or 3 million, if Bosh wants to play for the Bulls, assuming LeBron does too, Chicago now has a great package to offer the Raptors, in a potentially sizable trade exception, along with Gibson and picks. As it stood before, Deng + whatever would get laughed at by BC if that was the offer for Bosh, assuming Bosh wanted to go to Chicago. BC would have called their bluff, assuming without Bosh committing, LeBron won't come and the chances of Bosh signing outright with the Bulls for their lone max slot decrease dramatically. However now, although Bosh still can't use the Bulls as leverage to get sign and traded, he may not have to, as the Bulls now can offer an acceptable package to Toronto which they would gladly accept. Big time move by the Bulls.
