I refuse to beleive that Webster will stay here, or at least that there isn't more coming back, like a future 1st. If the wolves wanted a shooter, they would have kept babbit, better shooter smaller contract...

"T'Wolves pick up three small forwards who can't create their own shot in Wes Johnson, Martell Webster and Lazar Hayward. Makes no sense."

Draftexpress....

I hope you guys are not that incompetent

Kahn's drafting is so one-dimensional.

Last year that PG stuff, this year SF's.

God forbid that the GM has actively addressed the biggest problem position on the roster each of the past two years. You may think Gomes is better then Webster but it's not just about what a player can produce.

Webster is a true SF/SG and Gomes was and always will be a PF/SF tweener. This guy is one of the better back up SF/SG around has a reasonable deal and is a three point specialist who can take over games from deep.

Was Gomes going to be happy or useful playing 15 minutes a game behind Wes Johnson? No, was he going to take minutes at PF on a team that should get all 48 of its minutes at PF from Jefferson/Love?

I like the new lineup much better and I love that should they look to make a significant signing that it seems obvious they'd now pursue a Joe Johnson and not a Rudy Gay.

Babbitt could've been the next Wally. 90% FT, 50% FG, and 40% FT in college. Those numbers would've dropped probably, but still, he was an incredible value at 16 and we trade him for an often injured/semi-defensive and semi-athletic SF. I'm very down on Kahn right now. Gopher, bust out that old Avatar until further notice.
I can't wait to hear him explain this crap on PA tomorrow.

Webster is not a shooting guard. He can't dribble. Webster is also a bad shooter. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Webster is worlds away a better defender than Anderson. (And athlete too)

16 for Webster is ok for me. Adding Gomes makes me upset.

Again someone please explain how this is worthy of anger?

PG Flynn Sessions with Rubio waiting in the wings
SG Brewer Ellington Webster
SF Johnson Webster Hayward
PF Jefferson Love with Pekovic waiting in the wings
C Millic Jefferson with Pekovic waiting in the wings

They owe only the future 1st they owed when Kahn got the job and the roster has almost nothing but movable assets and has caproom. He hired a respected coach and put respected people around him.

They are in worlds better shape then they were two years ago and haven't given up anything of meaningful value during that time.

Idk why everyone likes Babbit so much, dude can't defend for crap, and against bigger competition he was nothing. I like this trade quite a bit actually.

I live in Portland and have watched a ton of Martell. This trade is f**king (Please Use More Appropriate Word). He fits the T-wolves mistake profile. He is a good personality, but is totally inconsistent and totally not worth his contract.

Kahn just traded two guys with the same value for one. Babbit is the same as webster for a third/fourth of the cost.

Horrible, Horrible move, and I don't even hate webster. Guy is just overpriced(4.5 mil. a year I think) and inconsistent. Horrible. Horrible. One of my female friends want to marry him. But Horrible, horrible.

If have to explain to you why that is aweful than I don't think it is worth even talking to you. If you want to win 30 games a year, conratulations.....you win! Yay!

Terrible for Minny.

Your GM is worse than McHale.

Babbit can't defend me. Webster is better then him, I really like this deal.

RicBucher Also have to believe Babbitt/Gomes for Martell Webster was not a KP pick. It makes no sense. No relief + a lesser/less proven shooter. less than a minute ago from web · FLAG

One would think the 16 for at least the Spaniard Sensation in Rudy Fernandez...jeez. WTF is Kahn doing? I will quit as a Wolves fan and as a Christian if this is what the Wolves have by the beginning of next season.

In Webster's defense, he's a decent player. He just didn't get a good chance to display his skills because he was playing behind Brandon Roy, Nicolas Batum, Rudy Fernandez. Not to mention that he was injured too and didn't get a lot of playing time.

I could see Webster having a similar surprise impact as Milicic.

That's his defense? That he became a second/third/fourth string, can't earn playing time, and gets injured?

But Webster is already "fairly paid." Babbitt is on a rookie contract. Gomes is a super expiring. That's two positive assets for a neutral one.

It's worthy of anger because we didn't take Cousins, Anderson, James, Pondexter, Crawford, Orton, Whiteside (all depending on who you are/like), and didn't trade up for someone like Henry/George, and traded for Webster instead of Fernandez. Also, we took 3 SFs, all of whom cannot create their own shots/make plays, to go with Ellington and Brewer.

I honestly thought we would have traded with Indy for George, or draft Anderson, even draft Whiteside at 30.
