Contingency Plan?

Post#1 » by jeffjtk1234 » Thu Jun 24, 2010 3:48 pm

I am starting to get nervous that the top 4 will be Wall, Turner, Favors, Cousins. If it is, what does everything think our contingency plan is? Monroe at 5? Trade out?

Thoughts?

I think we end up with Cousins. I am so excited for tonight though! I'll be at the ESPN Zone at Disneyland watching it all unfold!

I don't think we're drafting Johnson hell or high water!

It looks like we're taking Cousins if he's there otherwise Greg Monroe.

Yeah. With Wall/Turner going 1/2 the Kings are going to be left with at least one of Favors, Cousins, & Monroe. Whoever's left will be the Kings pick.

What are the chances Petrie makes a WTF pick? Similar to the initial Thompson pick back in 2008?

Take Johnson, force a trade, Nets and Wolves want him.

That wasn't a WTF pick. Thompson was projected to go 14 to GSW.

Article in the Bee said that Petrie thinks Johnson has star potential but he doesn't think he'll be there at 5, so take that for what it's worth. Petrie isn't going to pass on Johnson if he's there.

Then why no workout for him? We didn't workout a single SF that would potentially go #5. I really feel DMC was the pick all along and Monroe was plan B.

Well of course Cousins was the pick, but it's been pretty clear for awhile now that Johnson was going 3 or 4.
