I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

I don't know if it's "feeding into it". There are always people who do have inside information. There are always people who claim to have it but actually don't. I like to take what people say at face value, and draw my own conclusions.

For me personally, I don't think the trade is going to go down. I feel like we don't have he right pieces to make something like that work. That doesn't mean that Rev, or his sources, are liars. They may be (at the end of the day, the internet is the perfect place for falsehood), but I don't think for a second that Rev is lying. It may be that he has been lied to, or exaggerated to, but then that comes down to how much he trusts what people are telling him. Clearly he does trust these people. My gut feeling is that we have spoken to NO about Paul, maybe a formal offer has been made, perhaps they have even considered it or made counter offers. I don't, however, believe that a deal is particularly close, nor will it ever be. It's pessimistic, but I can't really see what we can offer them that really warrants their sending Paul to Orlando.

Still, it is nice to speculate, to day dream about such things, and I hope that I am completely wrong in my assessment.

Not referencing my morality, but rather that I have a reputation to uphold. It isn't like I'm some anonymous "MagicFan353726". I am representing my faith.

Long story short: I'm not lying.

I get what you're saying, but I would argue with this assessment for a few reasons.

1.) I believe that Chris Paul has been very polite about wanting to be traded, which I believe he does. There's no way he's in a good situation when you consider that he wants owners to spend money, they have an owner that just wants to sell, and a future owner who won't commit to buying until they cut payroll. How can they make him happy? It's impossible.

2.) Assuming, then, that he has quietly stated his peace ("I'm not opposed to being traded" is a nice way of asking to be traded) who else is in better position to get him? We have players to trade with expiring contracts, young, relatively cheap talent, and we have a strong enough desire to make us a team willing to take some undesirable contracts (CP3, Posey, and possibly Emeka if it gets to that point).

All other teams are either clearing cap space or lack the trade bait to nab good guys. I think we're in a great position. If things really heat up, we have pieces like Gortat, Pietrus, and Brandon bass that are more or less expendable.

Gimme some CP3 Otis!

People still think the Washington trade is even possible? There are like 100 different reasons it actually can't happen. Foye being a FA as one example.

Well I have buddy who works with Magic front office back in 2006-2007 Mark Bryant was one of Magic assistant coaches. Bryant is still intouch some of the members this was story he told me, everyone seemed to get offended when I told him about Jameer disrespecting OTIS, I decided to share my info with you guys but you didn't appreciate the efforts. As for the big trade that is set to go down, its going to be at least a week before we see that, reason being the Miami Heat recent trade has allowed them to sign 3 Max Players. Otis will keep a close eye on Heat because we have to match up with them, no reason to make moves if heat have a better roster right. Only no brainer trade right now is CP3, but he prefers to play with LBJ which is why Cavs are trying to trade Mo Williams..

Everyone wanted to believe all those garbage rumors last night, when I told you guys nothing was going to happen for at least another week.

I think Paul would benefit more, statistics-wise, in Orlando. I figure if he drives (and he's one of the best at it) he has three options: Lob it to Dwight, Kick it out , or score himself. I think he could maximize. Carter would benefit from Paul to if used correctly. I have to stop thinking of these scenarios because when this doesn't go down, my depression would be at a all-time high (or low?). Look at Chandler and David West with Paul running the show. New Orleans are willing to part ways because they have 2 young studs (Collison/Thorton).
