That Niners team really blows hard and it's a shame we might not even get a top-3 pick for their suckitude. Can't win em all, I guess.

Schedules Remaining:

Niners Home against Bucs
Niners at Browns

Rams Home against Steelers
Rams at Cardinals

Raiders at Jacksonville
Raiders home against Chargers

Atlanta at Cardinals
Atlanta Home against Seahawks

Jets at Titans
Jets home against Chiefs

Ravens at Seahawks
Ravens home against Steelers

I think the Jets have a shot at home against KC. KC has not been playing good and the NYJ didn't look alright today. Rams have a shot against the Cards, if they are healthy they got some talent on offense.

Other than that just have to hope that in week 17 the better teams rest their players. Perhaps San Diego and Pittsburgh will do that.

Should have lost to the Jets. Hopefully Miami wins out.

Joe Thomas was given a 5/43 with 23 guaranteed last year with the #3 overall. Levi Brown a 6/62 with 18 guaranteed with the #5 overall.

I hate NFL contracts. The numbers are basically meaningless in terms of determining what they mean relative to the salary cap.

Can't believe they only get the 7th pick. The 49ers were the worst team in the NFL this year. God damn it.

If only the Patriots had lost to the Jets twice and let Oakland keep Randy Moss they could probably have the fifth pick.

7th pick is great. When we made this trade I thought the 49ers were going to make the playoffs. Now we get a top ten pick, wow.

Two Ohio St. players could be on pats radar, who would both fill needs, Malcolm Jenkins CB, and Laurinitus ILB.

Eh, what for? There are a number of intriguing players that could be justified in range 5-10; ones that would have seemed silly taking with one of the top three picks.

I'm all for keeping this pick.

Maybe the theme of Belichick not doing what we expect him to do with result in AGAIN breaking expectations by going with James Laurenitis.

Can someone give me a scouting report on James Laurenitis?

Jake Long is the only dude i rly would want high for this team. Unless mcFadden somehow slipped to us. Then we could get him or trade him for somthing ridic.

Kenny Phillips the safety outta Miami also intrigues me, i dont know much about him cept watching him partially in a couple games. But, it seems as though every S outta miami is great.

My draft board reads
1. dorsey
2. chris long
3. jake long
4. kenny philips
5. mcfadden

since kenny philips is the only one available at 7, we take kenny. time to move rodney to line backer.

yes i know we picked merriweather last year, but kenny philips may become the best safety in the nfl within the next few years. perennial pro-bowler. absolutely love this kid.

Or if the Arizona **** Tardinals could win two games they were supposed to against SF they would have not only gave the Pats the #2 pick, but also made the playoffs. Instead they manage to botch two easy wins at the end of a game and screw themselves into missing the playoffs and getting a mediocre pick, and also vaulted SF's all the way to 7th.

Anyhow, the guy I really want the Pats to get is Rey Maluaga. The guy is an absolute beast, and fits a big need. He said he's staying put but after his Rose Bowl performance certainly sets him up to be a top 10 pick this year, I don't know how he will stay in school.

I actually agree with the Maleuga pick. I think he is like a bigger Lofa Tatupu, maybe not as ready to make calls off the bat, but definitely perfect for the Pats.

The only other thing I would consider if I was the Pats is trading down and drafting a special teams do everyting person like Steve Slaton. I like the Pats special teams, but their return game needs an upgrade. Though maybe the Pats don't need a shorter field if they are inevitably going to score anyways...
