I would say toward the end of the July - or basically when most Free Agents have signed.

Gotta be careful not to start too early as there's not much point starting with another free agency period.

I say start at the end of August - if we start at the end of July, there will still be many FAs in limbo. It also gives that 2 month break that we've been talking about having for the past few games.

Should we do some type of thing where top 5 GMs get first dibs on a team next game? Then maybe say something like bottom 5 have to take the next game off?

I don't think we should kick anyone out of the game unless they repeatedly prove that they're not capable - there just simply isn't enough interest. However, a guy like camahl who wasn't active throughout the entire game might be someone you consider not bringing back. IMHO, of course...

How about the top 5 guys have to take the 5 worst teams next game if they want to play? Lets face it, every game so far its been the same teams at the top for the most part.

Whats the lowest the LA Lakers have actually ranked? Ill check if i get time.

agree, we should start around the time training camp opens up. Free Agency will be done and teams will be shaped.

thats usually how we have done things in the past, top 2 or 3 teams in both categories would get 1st dibs, folowed by the other GM's that participated (and posted writeup, not writeup means you quit the game and lost priority)

also I would like to nominate mj to be commish, he wanted to run this game, but had family issues and stepped down. I think it is only locigical to give him the choice weather he wants to comish before others step in and try for the job.

Personally, I would give Luke first dibs at the job. This was the best-run version of this game to-date.

I don't know if this was done better than previous versions as this was my first shots at it, but Luke did do an exceptional job at keeping on top of things and the GM's within the league.

By the way, let me expand on my thinking. My thinking was that if someone gets less than 2/3rds of the possible yeses, then they've shown they didn't do a good job....

I still not a big fan of this idea, but it is up to whoever is commissioner next time around so I'm not too worried about it one way or the other.
