Commendable season Packer fans.
I am a Giants fan, but have to give you guys kudos. Despite not making the Super Bowl, you guys had a real good season. The Packers are the youngest team in the NFL, right? You guys should be good still, Farve or no Farve returning.

Thanks for being classy.
No doubt that Favre will be back next season. The reason he's been coming back the past few seasons is because he's still hungry for a championship. Well, now he's hungrier than ever, because now the Packers are among the elite teams in football and they are just a player or two away from perhaps winning the Super Bowl next year.
But yes, we have work to do this offseason.

14-4 is a pretty commendable season considering NO ONE thought we'd be 13-3 and in the NFC Championship game, let's not forget that. Let's not forget that most "experts" thought this was going to be a terrible year for the team and for Favre, some even going as far as saying he'd embarrass himself.
Congrats Giants.

I'm surprising not as bummed over the loss as i expected to be
If we had played like the Giants and them like us, but they won in OT i'd have been way more upset.
Knowing we got so out played on both sides of the ball, got out coached, and our special teams were crap except that one return, it makes the loss easier to swallow than if we lost because every break went against us.
The Giants played a much better game than the Packers and deserved to win, if we had scored in OT, the NY fans would have to have been just crushed.
Great year though except it's a bit troubling how poorly the team, Favre, and McCarthy handled both very cold weather games. Lambeau Field isn't going to be converted into a dome.

Im suprized im not upset either, sure I kinda got that ''damn it,golden oppritunity wasted'' feeling but im not upset or pissed off at all.
And for the same reason you said, the bottomline is they got outplayed and didn't deserve to win.In my opinion it had some to do with the Packers having a bad day but it dont matter in the NFL,in the playoffs you better show up when you are scheduled to play or you will be going home and the real Packers didnt show up today, maybe next year.
I think it was you who mentioned in the game thread we where lucky to even be in the game in the 4th qtr and to force OT and I agree.
Take away that RW INT then fumble and that one big play to Driver we only score 10pts in the game and at the same time the Giants had multiple big drops and could have easily scored around 30 pts.Could have easily been a 31-10 type win for the Giants.
But I also think im not upset is because this team had their comming out party this season and will ready from a mental/experience standpoint next year and in the years to come.
Its simply wasnt the Packers time yet but with the dierection this team is moving their time will come without a doubt.
And as big a Favre fan I am I think this team will still be chasing championships with Rodgers at QB whenever decides to retire.
BTW good point about the Eagles game PP.When we lost that game I seriously felt sick, like I wanted to puke.I felt nothing like that tonight going back to what El Dude said.

The Eagles game was a much sicker feeling because I thought we had a realistic chance at winning the Super Bowl if we could win that game. And we were in firm control of that game from start to finish. From jumping on top 14-0 to pissing away golden opportunity after golden opportunity to finish them off, that was our game.
I'd be sky high right now if we won, but I'd also realize that we'd have no chance at beating New England. Plus, we were near the end of that run with that core of players that we had in 03 where we're just beginning our new run here. Big difference IMO.

That's pretty much how i feel
The only thing about the game that still lingers with me a bit is Bush not just falling on the ball with roughly two minutes left. Even though we didn't deserve to win, i think if Bush falls on that ball, we go and at least get in position for Crosby to try a field goal to win the game.
There are so many things you can say if only about, but that play was the only real bad kick in the gut for me. I said to myself right then, that was the Super Bowl just laying on there the ground, but like so many other players do, Bush had to try and run with the ball instead of simply falling on it.
I'd assume Bush will run that play through his mind a thousand times
