this was bad, this is definatly up their with all those Billy Knight decisions.
i said that Hassan would be a no brainer at #24, but i still like the Crawford pick, at that point Crawford was in my top 5.
but passing up Hassan in the second round is just unforgivable, even if he does turn out to be a bust. he is a great talent, good project, and most importantly, fills a need.
i'm not sure if the ASG got involved, but if they did, then that is just absolutly horrible. i always like the ASG because they seem liked good owners, willing to spend the cash, not getting in the GM's way, and always willing to make the big move or trade, but if they did get involved in passing on Whiteside, then are definately not doing their job as owners.
a Crawford and Whiteside on draft night would definatly be a huge A++, but now it is just a C

I wanted Whiteside over Crawford, but that's not the issue. The Hawks could have had both if they didn't operate like a small market team.

I expected us to use the 31st on size, but the ASG must like being one of the smallest teams. We'll see who gets signed to play the role of Randolph Morris and Jason Collins. Just seems ignorant not add a big from the draft when it's an obvious need and with someone like Hassan available.
